I was recommended Roma Flooring Designs by my realtor Monica Villalobos. I was moving into a house in Anaheim and needed new floors on the steps and upstairs. Moe was phenomenal in matching the floors and installing them. He even leveled the floors so they wouldnt creak and did some extra repair to the stairwell. When I walked into the house I was pretty starstruck by how amazing the floors look. Even better is I have had friends, neighbors, and contractors come in and the first thing they comment on is how beautiful the floors are. Moe has a ton of experience and went out of his way to ensure the beauty of my home. Many thanks to him and Roma Flooring Designs.

Lets hope this review saves your hard earned money from Roma Flooring in Anaheim. During Covid pandemic last year we remodeled our home like many others. Found Roma while driving on State College. Checked his Yelp and there were mixed reviews and I can tell you AVOID AT ALL COSTS. 1st red flag Moe the owner was arguing with customer on the phone while I waited to talk to him. He explained it was an unreasonable buyer so I gave him a pass and proceeded to do business. We were putting beautiful Italian tile in our 1200 sqft home and was quoted $14700. After demolition they found plywood that needed to be replaced in the kitchen. They verified the subfloor was good and charged an extra $1000 for labor and maybe 6 sheets of 4×8 plywood before sheets of plywood were $90 each!! Paid it no questions asked. Moe explicitly said if tiles come loose he will send the crew to fix to justify his pricing. I took him at his word. Fast forward a couple months and some tiles are loose and missing grout. I was patient with Moe to send out his subcontractor who secured a couple tiles and added grout in a few places. He told us to call back if anything else was loose I’ve contacted Moe regarding other loose tiles and he originally said he would send guys outz. It’s all documented in writing through text messages. He changed his stance and refuses to help me and is blaming my subfloor? If there was a problem with the subfloor shouldn’t he or the subcontractors brought that too my attention before laying all of the tile? More tiles have become loose and it’s embarrassing. I’ve been too patient and trying to be reasonable with Moe doesn’t work. Moe should step up and do what’s right and what he originally promised. Hard to take pictures of tiles that are creaky and loose when you step on them.

Their showroom is actually pretty decent with lots different styles to browse. But I didn’t get to order. The owner or guy was arguing and cussing out someone on the phone. I wasn’t trying to listen, but kinda hard when the guy is yelling. I looked at boyfriend and without needing to say anything we left. ***Update 3-1-2020. Look at my other reviews. My review is not fake. I did not place an order, but the business lost a customer to what I witnessed. Read my other reviews and see that I am genuine in my reviews.

My wife and I have a new home. She is remodeling the new home while I remodel our other home. She had an interaction with the owner/manager that I was not very comfortable with. The interaction involved raised voices to the point of yelling. The argument should have not reached this point, the owner should have calmly negotiated with my wife instead of escalating into an argument. Background: My wife wanted to exchange the tile after purchase. She went to the shop to discuss the exchange and told there is a no exchange or return policy. The policy was not reviewed at time of purchase nor was the policy posted. When she went there, one of the workers placed the sign the return policy on the counter. Keep in mind that this policy should be reviewed at time of purchase and always REMAIN on the counter. While at the store my wife had an argument with the owner and he said he would call her to discuss a resolution. On the day he was to call her – he did not call her. Three days late she posted her review. The owner called my wife after the review was posted and offered to make the return AFTER she changed her review. It was too late to exchange because we had to purchase new tile since the installation was already scheduled the day before. Essentially, he was trying to force her to change the review before he would process a return (with a 30% restocking fee – WE ONLY OPENED ONE BOX). She offered to go to the shop and change the review in front of him after the refund. The owner turned her down – and that is where they ended the call. Summary: Overall, I cannot recommend Roma. If you do decide go with Roma please get a second estimate for any installation. Their installation quote for backsplash/tile was 100% more than our lowest quote. I posted this review because the owner says that my wife’s review is just one customer’s “bad experience.” Buyer beware, please read the Yelp reviews and you will see very similar issues customers have had in the past. According to one review, the OWNER even lost a lawsuit HE filed against a customer.

I am a contractor and visited this store on several occasions, purchasing some different lots of materials. Selection was good. Unfortunately, service and backing of product was terrible. Owner refuses to back up products and provide normal return and exchange policies as all other tile venues of note will do. Tried speaking with him several times, and he kept changing reasons and excuses for not offering types of service and exchanges everyone else does. Fortunately, there are many other great tile places on this same street with great selections and much better service and guarantees for contractors like myself. One additional note, was very surprised how high he quoted installation bids…way outside normal ranges for qualified installers. More than likely he is skimming some extra money from top and giving rest to his installer. Do yourself a favor and shop around to other places nearby.

My wife and I were looking for a flooring company that could offer us quality, service and competitive pricing. We had received several quotes for wood floors in our two-story home; however, we were not satisfied with the contractors and quotes that we were receiving. We happened to walk into Roma Flooring Design’s showroom in Anaheim. We were very impressed with the showroom and that is where we met Moe, the owner of the Roma Design Flooring. Moe was extremely helpful in helping us pick our flooring. We have two small children, a dog and stairs and we wanted something that could withstand all the traffic in our house without ruining our floors. We went with the porcelain wood-grain tile and Moe had the best selection. We were so happy that he had everything in his showroom so that we did not have to go look at other flooring companies because at this point we were tired of looking around. Not only did Moe help us with our flooring, but we also purchased granite counter tops and re-faced our fireplace with a gorgeous flagstone and a stone mantle. Roma Design Flooring under promised and over delivered on their work and craftsmanship. Our house had old carpeting, wood floors, 30 yr-old counter tops that were not kept up and a 1980s mirror that covered the face of our fireplace from the previous owners. Roma Design Flooring companies’ contractors finished the demo work and the complete job in half the amount of time then I was quoted. We are extremely happy!! The whole job was professional and we received the best service! Moe also gave us a great price to install baseboards with our floors and it looks great. After the job was done we had a grout line that needed to be re-finished and the granite counter top needed a minor fix. Roma Design Flooring’s contractors came out immediately and fixed it with no hassle. They truly stood behind their work, I would highly recommend Roma Design Flooring to anyone who would desires great contractors who do beautiful craftsmanship and stand behind their work. Big thumbs up!!
