Had my old leaking bulkhead replaced smooth operation.The women I talked to Jo-Ann could not have more pleasant.They sent out Greg for and estimate agreed on what I thought was very reasonable price.1 week later Greg and Mark came out install it taking the old one away.It a quality bulk head door you will save no money buying from lowes or Home Depot you get what you pay for so I’m giving Cellar Door Company 11 Stars

Too bad there’s not a rating lower than one star. For inferior work done in December of 2022, it took over eight months to get any response. The person who finally arrived to examine the shoddy repair refused to take responsibility and only offered solutions at addition expense. GO ELSEWHERE!

The Cellar Door Company gave my superior service. They came out for the evaluation within a short time of my request. The man was thorough in evaluating the area. He asked my input on everything, being sure to write down his notes. I received an email shortly afterwards with the estimate. The door was special ordered and came exactly when they said it would. They were neat and tidy. Their work was detailed. They cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them.

I contacted Cellar Door Company in October 2019 because I was having water come into by basement through the bulkhead. I told them I thought it was coming in through the concrete. They came out and seemed very sure that a new bulkhead door would fix the problem and they just happened to have one left in that size that they could install right away. I figured they’re the experts (my mistake!) so I agreed. Next big rain storm that came along, got more water in the basement so the beautiful new door I just paid for was no help at all. After a week or 2 I got them to come out again and they sealed the concrete. Next big rain storm that came along (tell me if you’ve heard this before) guess what? More water in the basement. So this time they said they would raise the doors by adding more cinder blocks. Oh but to do that they had to replace the stairs because they would no longer be up to code. Another $1700! By now it’s January 2020. Well most of 2020 was a pretty dry year weather wise. With the lack of rain my basement stayed dry. Well until the first real heavy storm in November and the exact same old problems came back. I emailed the Cellar Door Company with pictures and a summary description and crickets. No answer. Same thing happened with the next big storm in December. Same no answer again when I emailed them. It’s been over a year, I spent close to $5000 and I still have the same problems. Needless to say, avoid this company. Update: Interestingly enough I received a voicemail on 2/11/21, someone was following up (finally!!) on my December 2020 emails. They said since it was cold out they couldn’t do anything. Not sure where they were when it wasn’t cold out. But I’m still waiting for their follow up. Pretty unacceptable for someone to wait 2 months to follow up though.

Came to our house and gave an estimate, seemed very knowledgeable. However, many unanswered messages when we asked for information. And it turns out they aren’t able to pull permits in Massachusetts, being a RI company. Frustrating experience.

Called the company they returned the call with an appointment. It was a two hour window. They did not show. Called the secretary, seems like they were short of help and forgot appointment. Secretary rescheduled for 3 pm. No show again after we were told to sit tight they would be there eventually. No word from the company after that. Glad we did not get to hire them. Very unprofessional and unreliable.

Someone from the cellar door company came to my house and took some measurements for a replacement door. I waited several days to a week for them to contact me but they never did. I called them and the secretary said they would send me an email…waited another 2 weeks and nothing. Not a call or email letting me know that they wouldn’t be able to replace my bulkhead. Very disappointed.

I had a 1960s metal bulkhead door that was ready to be changed. Andrew from The Cellar Door Company did an awesome job! I am happy with his work and the way my new door looks! Thank you!

Cellar Door installed an egress window in my basement, without a hitch. Great planning, courteous workers who arrived in orchestrated “waves” – first to cut the concrete, then to install the window. Highly recommend this company. Special kudos to Erroll and Andrew.

Highly recommend this company. Andrew Harnois and John Brapoh did an excellent installation job. Bulkhead doors look great.
