John looked at my Jeld wen windows that were not opening and closing properly. John said he would get back to me in a couple of weeks and order parts. he never called, never even sent a quote. After I called 4 times, he called back saying they were busy. It is now 2 months. If this is the service you want good luck with that. Andrea

BEWARE: do not use this company. Poor quality overall. The owner and his employee are unprofessional and prideful. The employee who makes screens gets angry easily, and he did not hesitate to use the F-word when he was informed the screen did not fit correctly in our window.

These guys are pretty horrible. I had a sliding door that was sticking a little bit. They came to fix it by replacing the rollers and adding a new track. They ended up making it much worse as now the door sticks much worse than it ever did. It’s even raised up so that there’s sunlight visible under the door. The owner refused to come out and check it and fix it. – I hired another company and they found the issue immediately. These guys used the wrong parts. 1. It’s a huge, heavy door and they used a single roller. 2. They added a track on top of my existing track and the opposing lower portion of the door wasn’t wide enough to allow for a smooth glide. Needless to say, I wouldn’t recommend ST Johns door & window. I can accept someone making a mistake, but I cannot accept someone not living up to honor their work. The owner lacks decency and shouldn’t be in business. Below is an image of the new company showing me the problem.

Not very friendly on the phone. Not only would I not recommend them I would advise against them. Most people shop around for the better prices and get multiple quotes so I don’t know why they were so offended when I said I had 1 quote already.

***Update*** 6/14/22 The door is now available to custom order. 6-8 wks. We shall see.***** Got my quote and placed my order for an entryway door and storm door last September 2021. Took them a month to actually place the order. Heard nothing from anyone. It took 2-3 days to get any responses for updates. Finally got my entryway door installed in February. The installers were good and they are why I will rate 2 stars. A few weeks later I was scheduled for my storm door installation. Installers arrive and it turned out the storm door was the wrong size. The installers remeasured and said someone would call me. Brad showed back up unannounced and took measurements for my storm door again. My bad for assuming they will make things right and reordered the door. Again I heard nothing for 2 months untill they wanted a balance owed. I told them I would not pay untill the job was completed. I had all ready paid 50%. Again not a word untill they called for payment. I returned the call and told this story. Sonja was polite and apologized. She said someone would get back to me. Brad called me with options for a storm door because the door we originally selected could not be custom ordered. I never ask for a custom order….the door we wanted didn’t come in the size we need is my guess. Why did it take 9 months to figure this out??? I was told if this is becoming too much of an issue, I could go to Lowes or Home Depot to have the job completed. We are taking their advice and will find someone to finish what they can’t.

This place is in my neighborhood, thought it would be good to use a local business. Called for a quote to fix a window. The owner came out, stayed in my house for an hour, gave me a history of of Butler Beach, he has streets names after him, and he owns a big house with awesome stuff!! But informed me my 1 cracked window would be very expensive to replace and if I had more broken windows it would be cheaper, suspect marketing logic but ok? Never even got back to me, apparently small jobs in the neighborhood can’t buy this guy more stuff! I guess when I need all my windows in a few years I know where I AM NOT GOING! Enjoy all your toys sir! It was a real WEIRD meeting you!

In spite of the many supply chain challenges, the team did a great job of getting the project done. Very happy with how things turned out.
