I didn’t want to post this review until I really had time to think about my experience. The work was great and done quickly. It was definitely more expensive than I expected but I was going out of town and had to have a garage door. If I had more time I would have definitely shopped around. The price was given to me up front and I gave the installer a 50% deposit with the rest due when the job was completed. The installer was courteous and very nice and polite. He finished and after I paid him with Apple Pay he asked if I wanted to add a tip. I was definitely caught off guard and I did. My problem with this is why are we expected to tip a garage door installer? As expensive as the door was I believe he is probably paid pretty well. If not, it should be up to the company to fix that problem, not customers.

Hometown Garage Door was recommended to me by a co-worker, and I’m so glad I called them. Kevin, was able fix my door the same day that I called to schedule an estimate. He was very transparent, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was also genuinely impressed with the price. I had a broken spring on my garage door that made it completely inoperable. I thought this was something that I could take care of myself; however, after watching several DIY videos, I quickly learned that one mistake could lead to a hospital visit. I would highly recommend!

I live in Dublin , VA. The worker named Kevin showed up and was very kind and professional. Other places I had called wanted to replace the whole garage door for a simple repair. Kevin fixed the garage door effectively and made the garage door work again like brand new. The lady who answered the phone to service me was extremely kind as well. They also showed up timely and did not over charge for service. It was Clear communication with them throughout the whole process. They told me exactly what they were going to do when they showed up before they did they work and how much to expect. I was extremely satisfied with the work they did and would use them again if I had to do so.

Contacted the company about fixing a manual garage door that jammed when trying to lift it up. A worker showed up for an evening appointment and said that he could fix the door. He asked me to stay with him while he did the work. It took about 20 minutes to do the repair. He wrote up the ticket and charged $180 for parts even though he didn’t use any parts, trip fee was $75.00 and a gas charge of $25.00. We are both are located in Roanoke….and $50.00 for labor. I wasn’t going to stand out in the dark and argue with him about the charges because it likely wouldn’t have done any good. Beware of this company.

Hometown Garage has extremely fast service. Quality repair and very efficient. Heath was our technician and was very thorough in explaining the services and professional.

They were able to get a new garage door but not able to install it correctly to keep it working so I had to call a different company to make necessary adjustments. Very disappointing experience as I found out the door they ordered was too big for the opening. This is dishonesty.

Tech was awesome. Called them at noon and had someone at my house at 7:30 to fix my garage door and gone 8:45.
