Forde won a competitive bidding process to replace windows for all 40 units in our vintage Lincoln Park condo building at least a decade ago. The work was performed on time and on budget with only minor issues from engaged and picky owners, all of which were satisfactorily resolved. It wasn’t really a surprise because it was a sizable project and Maurice Forde was personally involved throughout. What I hadn’t expected is the attentive level of customer service from Forde to individual owner’s needs over the decade that followed — by example: A few years ago I needed my screens re-screened, certainly a minor project for them. Jared Forde treated my project with the same professionalism, attention and follow-through that was brought to the original window replacement. My experience: If you become a Forde customer you can count on a knowledgeable, professional resource that wants you to remain a satisfied customer over the long term. I think that’s worth noting.

Unfortunately due to the polar vortex, I’ve been having work done in my home with a lots of contractors in and out; Forde is by far the most considerate contractor I’ve had in my house. They are clean, considerate, and kind. It’s a huge weight off my shoulder knowing that I won’t have a huge mess to clean up after they are done. Plus, they are detail oriented and keep me updated on the project the whole time.

We’ve been using Maurice and his team for over 20 years. In that time they’ve done significant window and remodeling projects for us and we always call them for repairs. They own their work and stand behind it well after completion. Their prices are fair. Their projects are well planned and transparent. They managed through inevitable bumps in the road without raising homeowner cortisol levels. Buy with confidence.

Our project involved replacement of two windows in a 1927 vintage hi-rise building. Original steel windows were made by Hope’s and for their replacement, we chose Optimum RTS-435 for their thin sight lines and historically accurate look. After obtaining proposals from three window contractors, we chose Forde based on their hi-rise window experience and competitive price. The existing window demolition and new installation went smoothly, and the Forde carpenters did a marvelous job constructing a new hard maple casing that matches the building’s original woodwork. We found Forde very responsive to our concern with every technical detail, and we are very satisfied with the results of their work.

Highly recommend Forde Windows and Remodeling after the outstanding work they did enclosing our balcony with sliding glass doors and windows. It was a difficult job because none of the walls and ceilings in our high rise building are level. Yet Forde compensated for this and the installation looks and functions perfectly. In addition to a fantastic job they have also been available years later for questions or concerns. A top-notch group. Would never use anyone else.
