(Update below) My husband and I hired Champion Windows to replace our upstairs windows, the siding, and our gutters after hearing the pitch from salesman Chris. Some problems with Chris’ pitch: Chris said all of the people that would be a part of the installation were Champion employees. Knowing that we were supporting an organization that pays their employees and provides things like sick leave and insurance was important to us. I anticipated that everyone would show up in Champion wrapped vehicles and wearing crisp Champion polos. Nope! They are all subcontractors. Chris also got our order wrong: we ordered full screens for the windows, and half screens were what was installed. Steer clear of Chris! Our siding was installed first, and the crew that was assigned to our house was fantastic. They did a beautiful job and they were really great to work with. The foreman, Julio, noted problem areas on our home and addressed each one. I really appreciated his work. They were incredibly clean as well, even taking care of some leaves that had gotten stuck behind the trash can. Next our gutters were installed. They look fantastic (seeing older photos of the state of the gutters kind of makes me cringe now) and the DRIP DRIP DRIP noise that we used to get every rain has gone. Priceless. Again, no detritus left by the installer. The final step was our window installation. What I really remember about that crew is they kept saying how fast the job would be, that they would be done before I even left for work. That bothers me a lot now – why were they so proud of doing a fast job and not of doing a *good* job? When I got home that evening, my first impression of the new fancy windows wasn’t of their clean lines or the way they blocked the sun’s heat – it was how gross they looked. They were totally dirty. Hand prints, an arm print, I don’t know what prints. It looked like sticky messy children had been in charge of the installation. I’m told they used a vacuum after the install, but the floors were actually crunchy. As I was vacuuming up the work areas, it dawned on me that I was cleaning up after a team that had been paid to do the install. I was interested in the windows for the ability to clean the outside panes from the comfort of inside the house, and wow, here I was getting the chance and my windows weren’t five hours old. The installers also left bits of the foam installation hanging, the window in the bathroom needed a coat of paint, and they neglected to install one of the bumpers. They also used their ladders against the brand new siding and now there’s dimples in the siding. That’s still to be fixed. Edit – three months later this was fixed after many phone calls as well as this review. The materials are all fantastic quality. I’m happy with that. But – Champion really could improve their communication and their cleanliness. I hate that my first impression of the completed job was “did someone wipe their butt on my window?” The automated emails were a hot mess and inspired little confidence: after our siding was installed we were getting “your siding is being made today!” emails. What? When I emailed Salesman Chris, he called my husband rather than responding to my email. And every single job was a call, “we’re coming over tomorrow to install, you need to be there” Who has that kind of flexibility in their life? I was tempted several times to ask, do you not work? but they are installing stuff so it looks like yes? Maybe all of their work places are like show up or not, whatever! but that’s not a luxury either of us have in our lives. My final verdict is an A for the materials and a F for communication, honesty, and cleanliness. Three months update! We’re still waiting on the repairs to our siding. Champion has been a no show twice and a cancellation once. One more update: thanks to this review I got in touch with the “owner” – the dimpled siding was replaced and Bob came over to clean the windows. It should not have been this much work. Total project timeline: March 8th – July 13th.

My salesman Sam was FANTASTIC! Showed up on time, was super polite and got us the best deal on two new windows and a patio door. Answered all my questions and didn’t put us in the pressured sales environment. Champion reached out after our sales appointment to schedule time to take exact measurements of the windows and door being replaced. Wait time is said to be 16-20 weeks to manufacture and install. Install will take place all in one day. The warranty this company offers is unmatched by others! Truly a good quality product and we’re so excited to get this project started!

Excellent quality windows Braden Wallace was the factory representative who took the time to demonstrate and explain about the windows unfortunately I didn’t purchase at this time.

Not a pleasant experience. Salesman will promise to be available through the entire process if issues arise, as soon as that commission check hits, you will never hear from them again. And there WILL BE issues. Do yourself a favor and choose wisely. Nothing about this was seamless and it’s still not over for us as we wait for our broken window to be replaced. Three months, dozens of calls unreturned we finally have our project finished. I would never recommend this company to anyone.
