I dislike giving bad reviews. Every business has its highs and lows at times. I understand that but I must be honest about this one due to the safety concern with my experience The first installer was very nice and he is the only reason I gave 1 star. I wish I could remember his name. During the install, we discovered the door was too short. I waited weeks for another part to come in to cover the bottom where it was too short. I was not the happiest about it but ok. They made it work. My door lock has a key option only for both sides. I explained my concerns about safety and I was told by the second installer he would come by in a week and replace it with a thumb turn for the interior side so we won’t need a key to get out. I further explained If there is an emergency and that door is the only way out, we cannot get out of our home safely if we don’t have the key. At that time my elderly mother in law was in the home with me. I called several times to follow up expressed this and even explained how I was not happy with my experience. I was told I would have to purchase a thumb turn and it would cost about $150.I agreed. I never got a call or anyone showed up. I am done with this company. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.

I’m a repeat customer. This time I received a very fast respond to my inquiry. They came out and measured my doors and had the new ones up within 48 hours. Very good people to deal with. The best customer service. If your in the Bartlett Tn area and in the need of security doors for your home, I highly recommend their services.

I bought two doors from them. They both leak. It is not at the seal but instead around the metal casing around the glass part of the door. I tried to get it resolved and called Mutiple times. The last call he said that all the doors leak a little and said he was very busy and it has now been over a week and I have not heard back. It has been over a month since install. I have had Mutiple security doors over my lifetime and they should not leak like this. I do not expect it to be waterproof but when water is leaking in from part of the door that should be sealed this is a problem. I am also concerned because there is already rust where the water is leaking out and both of my doors have orange looking stuff shinning through the white paint. I am wondering if these are used doors. I do not recommend this place. The doors have issues and they are not willing to do anything about it.

I paid for chrome door hardware and gold hardware was installed. I would have paid for them to come back and install the correct hardware that was originally ordered and paid at the time of the original installation. I assume small orders/ people don’t matter. Disappointed!

I had two doors installed first part of Summer. I physically went into the store to pick out the doors, pay and scheduled the install with Christian. At that visit, I also requested measurements for wrought iron railings around the porch as well as two railings down the steps. The doors were installed timely by Corey to my satisfaction. However, I was given a “I don’t want to do it” price of $1900 for the railings. Deciding I was not going to pay that amount for the full railing, I ask that they would give me an estimate for the railings along the steps only. I was told someone would come back out for those measurements. I did not need to be home. After a while, there was no contact with the estimate, I made a visit back to the store to inquire. No one ever came out. Again, I was told that someone would come out to take the measurements. After some time, still no estimate on the railing. I started having issues with one of the doors locking. I again went into the store. A sit down conversation where I requested someone come out to look at the door as well as the situation that I am having with getting estimates on the porch railings. I was told when Mike comes out to look at the door, he would take the measurements. Mike took the measurements as I watched him. Again I was told that someone would contact me. It has been over three weeks and I do not have the estimate on the railings down the steps. While I am satisfied with my doors, I seriously doubt that I will be doing business with this company again. The character and integrity is lacking on so many levels. I was repeatedly lied to, to my face on several occasions. It is a shame that you can not trust doing business with a company over the phone. I had to go into the location and I continued to be lied to. At this point, I can not recommend them to friends and family either. I came to this business on a recommendation. I seriously have issues with a business who lack character and integrity. It is apparent that they do not want to install the railings and I should have been told that. This has been going on since July.

Today, the tech( Tony I think was his name) came out to change the locks on my storm doors. I must say the process, price, and time it took was quick and professional. I will definitely will recommend American Door to anybody that need new storm doors or even locks changed. No matter how big or small the job, they will treat you with the same respect. Thank you again American Door for your service. I’m a very satisfied customer.

I went to the location to see what doors they have available. The gentleman stated they will be out to measure for a new door & hand rails. They didn’t call me back with the measurements so I called the following week that was a month ago. If I could give less than 1 star I would.
