Back in the beginning of this year we had a freak accident that resulted in the flooding of our kitchen floor and water damage right down into our basement. Which created a huge mess with water dripping down onto just about everything in most parts of our basement. BF & W was contacted right away and the team came out right away to clear away the damage. Everyone my husband & I met and dealt with was friendly , respectful and very helpful! The damaged was repaired, though did take several months & our belongings were packed professionally and stored in a mini cube container securely in our driveway in the meantime. The work the guys did was done very well! And when finally finished another team of very pleasant & respectful guys came and brought our belongings back in. Thank you to the whole team for a good job done! Marlin & Maureen 😊🙏🏻 A quick last note: The repair process is NOT perfect. I understand the frustration of the other reviewers about doors and walls marked up but they are removing big & heavy furniture & other bulky items, bringing in their machines and fans etc.. which can result in scratches and dings. But I believe that can be improved on. Due to insurance company policies & issues, even miscommunication between them that can be improved on too. BUT Our 5 star review is based on the efforts by BF& W team to combat a stressful situation & damage that was done to our home. Their hard work & the down to earth pleasantness the team showed toward us was very appreciated!

I had a small kitchen fire on October 3, 2023. As of March second I am still displaced from my home. Allowing BF&W in charge of my home and personal property was one of the biggest mistakes of my life. The entire experience has been nothing but a nightmare. Everything they touched they damaged , every repair was done incorrect. They damaged my custom made farmhouse kitchen table and benches beyond repair. Their employees have no respect for the customers personal property and do such shoddy work its diplorable. My mahogany front door has scratches and chuncks of wood missing from frame and the door itself. They damaged my trim throughout my home. Scratched my furniture, damaged fixtures, it makes me sick. The painter, a sub-contractor, was here for 5 weeks and only primed half the rooms. He did attempt painting two rooms. One was the wrong color. The walls in the other room felt as if they were textured due to the dust and dirt on them. Walls were not wiped before painting. But he at least showed up everyday and worked a full day. Cannot say the same for BF&W employees. They did not show up for over three weeks in a row; consistant work was not a priority to BF&W. The hacks they sent to hang my drywall; never hung drywall before. Management knew this, still sent them and never checked on their work. My 5 and 9 year old grandsons would have done a better job. I would be embarrassed if an employee of mine tried to pawn off such a sorry excuse of junk work. We were to have a pod onsite to store my furniture during work. Finally almost 5 months in and after the dust from the multiple drywall installs; removal coated all my electronics, furniture etc. due to lack of any door covering barriers; the trailer they delivered leaked! There were puddles of water in the corners and along the side, very visible. BF&W employees started moving my furniture and personal belongings into the trailer with no regard or thought as to the damage this leaking water would cause to my belongings. Laziness, ignorance, lack of work ethic, lack of respect for the customer and the customers property is very evident. I would not and will not recommend BF&W for any restoration, repair or any sort of home construction to anyone.

Subcontractors at the job site did a good job. At the end of the day, my garage is restored and I’m happy with the end result. With that said, the journey to get here was very painful. Several project delays, a lot of miscommunications, etc.

We lost our home to a fire last September. We hired Berks Fire & Water on the advice of our insurance agent, who said they were fantastic to deal with. It was the best move we ever made. Brad and Don are excellent to work with. Brad’s experience with managing the job coupled with Don’s experience on the ground has made the process very easy for us. The speed that Brad responds to questions or concerns blew us away. Don had good suggestions about the layout of the house & was very helpful resolving an issue with the garage floor caused by meeting current codes. Brad’s advice and guidance has made this whole process very easy for us. Without him, this could have been a very difficult experience. We can not thank them both enough. We would absolutely recommend Berks Fire & Water to anyone!!!!

My hot water heater basically exploded over the weekend. A pipe broke and water sprayed all over my closet into my bathroom and into my bedroom. Your company was so nice and so polite they came to my house when they said they would. Very very nice people. I know I need a lot of reconstructive work done but I think they are great!

Berks was rapid in response to remove and remediate the initial water damage. After that, the issues started. The estimator misfiled items on the estimate to the insurance company, resulting in me needing to pay above my deductible. The company focuses more on remediation than restoration. The process took much longer than expected due to people being pulled from the project. There was poor quality work that resulted in additional rework. Don and Blain were great to work with. Unfortunately, they were not always the ones doing the work. I hope I do not need this type of service in the future. If I do, I am looking for a different company. Update: No contact yet. Not sure if soon is days, weeks or months.

Berks Fire Water Restorations is the best. We were set to close on a new house and the basement took rain two days before. Berks Fire Water was out to the house in no time at all, and Chad M. remained in contact with me throughout the process. Outstanding company with outstanding employees.

I have held my tongue long enough concerning your van drivers! They are some of the most aggressive drivers! Tailgating, excessive speeds, turning on “No Turn on Red” signs, just to name a few…all while in company vans, which paints a very poor image of your company. They need to realize when they drive your vans, they are representing YOU! And from what I have seen and experienced over time, they don’t represent you very well by their dangerous driving practices!

Just all around nicest group of people you could ever meet. From the front door to the people running it all, position and higher up doesn’t change their value or outlook on people. Couldn’t recommend a better all around company.
