We had a terrible experience here, and if I could go back & work with someone else I would. We had a dishwasher leak that damaged our floor, and ended up needing to have all of our kitchen/living room wood floor replaced. Because we’re in a tiny condo we had to stay elsewhere during the restoration & repair, and this ended up dragging out over a couple months. There were so many issues along the way, and when we were told it was okay to move back in, our place was a wreck. I spent all night cleaning up just to make it somewhat livable. We ended up taking pics of many many issues, & Paul Davis sent out people to “fix” things, but often nothing was actually fixed. The final & biggest disappointment was that the floor has lots of spongey spots and creaky spots. Paul Davis paid for an outside person to come decide whether this was due to the materials or the work or something else, and it turned out the problem was that Paul Davis did not use enough glue when they put the floor in. They then came in and did glue “injection” in spots, but this still did not fix the problem. At that point, our option was basically to deal with it or have them redo the whole floor again. I did not want to be out of my home for another 3 months, and I honestly at that point did not trust that they would be able to fix it or do it right anyway. While they did cover the cost of our deductible because of everything… every time I step on my floor and feel/hear it, I get so upset. Especially because I adored my old wood floors. I also imagine this could be an issue if we ever decide to sell our home. I’m not usually one to write bad reviews, and I hesitated writing this one, but again… this was a terrible experience. Sounds like at least one other person in these reviews had a similar one. I hope no one else does.

This contractor provided OUTSTANDING service for our home restoration after we discovered a slow water leak that had penetrated behind our master bathroom shower (probably ongoing for years). This leak resulted in mold and wood damage including warped hardwood flooring. A complete master bathroom renovation took place with new tile, plumbing, new tub, bathroom fixtures, electrical work, painting, new shower and shelving. A brand new double sink vanity with quartz top was ordered and installed. The entire downstairs hardwood flooring was sanded and stained. New hardwood flooring was installed after the warped portion was removed. We added hardwood flooring to our master bedroom. All baseboards were painted. The downstairs furniture was gently relocated and later returned by a contents crew for the flooring work. All duct work was thoroughly cleaned and a cleaning crew finished the job. ALL ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING.

Chris did a wonderful job! Our kitchen flooded which caused all flooring downstairs to be replaced. He worked with us to find various solutions along the way and cannot thank him enough!

My house was shot into two separate times.It was a pleasure having Ken of Paul Davis Restoration to lead this repair work.Ken and Joel restored a large portion of the front of my house to new condition.They were very respectful and professional.Can’t say a bad word about the whole process.I would highly recommend this company and this crew.

Nick with Paul Davis Restoration was great to work with from start to finish. He was efficient, applied excellent communication, was always available if we had a question, and was flexible with scheduling times to meet that worked for our schedule. This was our first-ever insurance claim, and he helped us to understand the process every step of the way. We’re so thankful for the work Nick and Paul Davis did to bring our damage from a fallen tree back to good-as-new!

I am very happy with my new roof which was installed by Paul Davis Restoration. Looks great and it was installed in one day! The men who installed the roof were respectful of my property and me. Working with Chris made the entire process easy and smooth. . He explained the process from start to finish, worked with my insurance adjuster and was always available to answer any questions I had. I felt confident with Chris in the lead that I didn’t have to worry about anything. I highly recommend Chris and Paul Davis.

If I could give our experience with this company, a negative rating, I would. We have used this company in the past with no issues on a previous home. When we had water damage under our refrigerator and had to have our flooring replaced in our current residence, we had no hesitations with going with this company again. Our general contractor, Nick, initially seemed very invested in making sure that the work was going to be done correctly and to high standards. However, this is not what we received. The crew that came in to do the flooring did a great job. So much so, that we decided to go ahead and have them also work on replacing our builders grade backsplash, and painting our cabinets in our kitchen. We were assured that the same crew that did the flooring was also capable of doing that work. During demo of the backsplash, drywall was compromised. In our contract, it stated that all drywall would be replaced prior to putting new tile on. The company placed tile over compromised drywall, causing it to give away when pressed on. Had we not investigated that on our own, we would’ve been left with tile that could easily be pushed through the wall if something were pressed against the backsplash. We immediately halted work and had Nick come out to investigate. He agreed that the work was shotty and needed to be replaced, but at this time, we did not feel comfortable with that same group coming in to potentially repeat the same mistakes. We did allow them to remove the tile placed and replace the dry wall, but We told Nick we wanted someone that was a dedicated tile company to do the work. After weeks of looking for someone else to do the tile, Nick said he wasn’t able to come in within our budget for tile and paint as originally discussed. At this point, we decided to sign off on the existing work and get our own tile and painter to come in. When Nick came back to have us sign off on the flooring, He had the audacity to ask for what little tile supplies were left. We were sitting on a kitchen that was essentially unusable, us having removed everything from the cabinets in prep for work to be done, dry wall exposed, outlets off, and you want to ask for a couple of boxes of tile back to recoup your extra costs for subcontracting work out to incompetent workers???? No sir. Our contract for what we agreed to pay included material costs, so no. Honestly, at that point, I was so ready to be done with that company, I did not even bring up the fact that we have a dent on the side of our new fridge and a scratch on the front of our dishwasher that we’re not there prior to his company coming to do work. Fast forward six months, this work is the gift that keeps on giving. Our toilet in the downstairs bathroom has been a little bit wobbly. Today, I had my husband husband try to fix it. They did not even bolt our toilet down to the floor when they replaced it after doing the floor in the bathroom. If you are looking for a company that will give you an excellent quote and that seems very thorough, but at the end cut corners in an effort to maximize their profitability, this is the company for you. If you were looking for a company that will quote you on doing excellent work, and actually deliver excellent, quality work, this is not the company for you. Below, you can see some of the compromised dry wall the had tiled over- this was after we stopped work and they came to replace drywall, but you can see the holes they simply tiled over. Also, the other pic shows the bolt for the toilet that was never installed correctly and literally, the bolt just pulled out.
