I had a disappointing experience with Advanced Restoration Solutions. They consistently took longer than expected to complete the project and often did the work incorrectly. When mistakes were made, they blamed me and demanded additional payment to fix their errors. There was a significant lack of communication throughout the process, and some of the team members didn’t speak English, making it even harder to address issues and get updates. Additionally, if you see a lot of good reviews, be aware that they may be paid for. I would not recommend their services due to these ongoing problems.

This company took a nightmare situation for my family and made it incredibly worse. I hired ARS to mitigate the water damage to my basement in January after the horrendous storm flooded it. They would only do the removal and drying, no repairs, their contract had no estimated price, but they stated they would accept my insurance’s quote for the work multiple times. The work was done quickly, which lead to them leaving fiberglass remnants all over the basement, screws in every stud, scratches and damages to the concrete slab under the flooring, they left trash bags full of damp debris, and drywall debris all over the floor. Overall, the quality of work did not match the reviews online. When I received the bill they proceeded to charge me 300% higher than the quote for the mitigation from the insurance. This total was in fact greater then what the insurance quoted for total mitigation AND restoration. I reviewed the punch list on the bill and noticed nothing had prices, and despite asking for the breakdown multiple times I was never provided it. I also noticed that the punch list was full of inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and services that were not provided. When I began to dispute this information, Ron Shapira, the owner, would respond with condescending and disrespectful emails. Telling me multiple times that people just accept his quotes and that he is wasting his time reviewing my disputes. When he did review my disputes he chastised me for their content and would offer “complimentary discounts” to the outrageous price. These discounts were minimal and were no where near our agreed upon price when ARS was hired. He would also constantly threaten me with his collection attorneys and then went radio silent when I refused to comply with his bullying. After I sent ARS the agreed upon payment (the insurance quote), he sent his aggressive collections agents to scare me into paying more. They threatened legal action and would sue for the attorney fees and interest on the total cost of the job. Thankfully I have family members in the legal field that coached me through this situation. Avoid this company, if I could give 0/5 stars I would. Their quality of work is subadequate, their customer service is horrific, and the problems come from the top->down.

After a lot of rain, my basement flooded. Gustavo and Miguel from Advanced Restoration were outstanding! They quickly turned off the water, dried everything, and even looked for mold. My basement looks brand-new!

If I could give zero star I would. Please read this! This company tried to commit home insurance fraud through a claim from my home. Back in January of 2023/December 2022 they came to do some water mitigation due to a pipe burst from the severe weather we experienced in DC. They came and vacuumed the water from the home and left dehumidifiers and fans. They didn’t do any other work during that time. Considering this, I had to call another company to finish the work. I contacted them every day and spoke to their representatives about coming to pick up their equipment and they refused to come pick up the equipment. When they finally did pick up the equipment, it was well over 10 days and the other company already came in and did the rest of the mitigation work. They then sent the bill for the services totalling over $9,000. The insurance company reviewed their bill and stated that it was an overcharge and that they were only paying approximately $2300 of the bill. ARS is now trying to charge me for the balance of the bill and trying to take me to court. I have attached emails from the insurance company. I also have proof and evidence of another company coming to do the work. I also have phone records of me trying to call this company and their representatives over an over to come pick up their equipment. Please see attached.

Advanced Restoration Solutions provided prompt excellent service. The company responded to my request immediately sending someone over same day when my basement flooded and starting restoration the following day. They worked with my insurance company, kept me updated throughout the process and even provided me with replacement fixture options to select from. The customer service team was very informative and the quality of the work performed was superior. I would highly recommend this company for your mitigation and restoration needs. Clayton Steen

My apartment property had an emergency; so we called Advanced Restoration Solutions who came out immediately and took car of the problem within a couple of days. They will be the first company we call for any restoration issues. Thanks for all that you have done.

Miguel was very knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. He listened well, courteous, and communicative. He took the time to explain the entire process and patiently answered my questions and concerns. I can tell he enjoys what he does and truly wants to help me get through the entire process. The jobs were done quickly and efficiently. It was a pleasure working with him and his team. I would recommend his services to anyone.
