Great company, pays attention to details and gr8 people to use on your projects

On March 20, 2024 I hired Texas Disaster Restoration company to do water mitigation on my home and while the damages were sufficient, this company is clearly the “Disaster”. They are asking for payment but my foot was injured by the nails that Texas Disaster Restoration neglected to remove in the main entrance way of hallway area. They have yet to take accountability for their negligence or actions. I counted a total of 30 nails left exposed in the floor. I have attached one of the several pictures of the 30+ nails that were left exposed throughout my home. I have been in contact with Shelby through emai(you can see her response in photos attached to this review) I will update my comments on this matter in the event anything changes. See emails and photos below. Before signing………be sure to read your contract and dont let them rush you as once you sign you are forced into arbitration for any damages caused. READ THE CONTRACT. I would recommend for water damage relief, but definitely not for restoration. We had a flood and needed immediate help- got that, but after all of our first floor belongings were taken to storage and water damage accessed, flood cuts made etc, the road to recovery through remodel has been a 2 star experience.

Run, run, run. Unethical, unprofessional, and shoddy workmanship. They were late, missed timelines, and have no customer focus. Regret everyday selecting them. TDR churns through staff, we saw at least four key people leave the company during our project. They lost some of our stored property for a while, which I think was never lost but a ploy to get a settlement from our insurance company. Here is an good example how they try to take advantage of their customers and insurance. The boxes used to store dishes, books, and misc property were filled only 1/3 full requiring more than double the boxes needed and an additional two PODs when our property was stored to maximize their claim with our insurance company. If you have a fire or water damage, definitely call another company. I’ll close with this to illustrate how unethical they are…they manipulated these reviews with comments made by employees pretending to be customers.

Great company – cannot say enough on how much I recommend them. Had a pipe burst on a Sunday evening and caught it fortunately quickly, and the team from Texas Disaster Restoration was onsite within an hour to start recovery work. Great communication and flexible during days after incident. Jaren and Mike have been compassionate throughout the whole process.

I have a medical office and sustained significant damages during the ice storm. Juan and team were onsite in an hour and a half from calling. Juan went above and beyond any expectations. TDR has made an unpleasant experience manageable and tolerable everything from restoration, demolish and repairs. I can’t say enough about this company. Thank you from PDDC !

Thru the stressful time you get flooded and have workers everyday at your home can feel awkward and violating, especially when you don’t know the process or not being kept informed of a schedule or plan, but Juan Mendez went far beyond all the other employees with his kindness, information and empathy on a daily basis. I believe good leaders are empathetic to other humans and Juan Mendez made the stress far easier to deal in this process and very much took care of me. I greatly appreciated his care and concern. Thank you so much.
