We had a bathroom flood with water leaking down on the Livingroom ceiling. I advised my insurance company who sent out Delta Restoration Service. They were very prompt in calling me after the insurance company advised of my need. They came out as expected, do a wonderful job of clean up. However, I asked the tech, several time, if I was going to need to get someone to fix the holes in the ceiling that they made to dry out the ceiling. I was assured that they “handle” the entire clean up, one stop stop. He told me their construction crew would be out to give an estimate as soon as they were finished, that was around May 12th. I had family staying w/us for a wedding but holes were still in the ceiling when they arrived. Called them a few time, once the lady told me that I needed to contact my insurance company to get authorization, WTH – they need a quote before they authorize anything. Called again and assured I would be receiving a call back in a few hours and they would get this resolved. Well it has days since that call. I would NEVER use this company again! It’s one thing to apologize and resolve the issue; it’s another thing to just lie. They apologize then NEVER try to resolve the issue. Can’t stand people who don’t follow up on their word. Like my mom said, if you don’t have your word, you don’t have anything! My ceiling as been like this since May 7, 2021!!!

Amazing company, everyone there is super friendly and professional. Work is completed in a timely manor and the supervisors and coordinators go through every part of the job with you. Anytime I had a question someone got back to me right away. 10/10 recommend.

Few years back we had a sewer main break that caused some water to back up into our basement bathroom. Luckily the bathroom was tiled and had 2” tile boarders around the walls so no water went into the walls or any other areas. Long story short they wanted to cut out 2ft of drywall in every room of our basement including areas that no water even touched. We kicked them out and told our insurance company to pay them for the clean up they had done. Clearly they do more work than needed to earn a few extra bucks.

I had an insurance claim for roof/garage-door and a small amount of gutters/paint and my insurance company assigned Delta Restoration Services to be the general contractor for my claim. I regret every second of dealing with Delta and their contractors and wish I would have just handled the complex claim myself. I was originally assigned Fred, who professed to by my advocate and get me the best prices and a quick quality job done. I stated my expectations for communication and he was on board. Once I signed the contract, everything changed. Fred was non-communicative, dismissive, very uninformative and was doing things behinds the scenes I did not approve. He started brokering deals with a roofing contractor to not perform some of the work that my insurance company was paying him to do – but Delta was still going to take the $. I caught him red handed with roofing contracts and email documentation proof that he tried to deceive me and claim I didn’t want the work done. Unfortunately for Fred, that was a lie and my documentation caught him. Whether he was trying to commit fraud against me or he is just incompetent, that’s for him to decide. But I sent all the documentation to the Delta general manager and Fred was promptly removed from my case. I will say the garage door guys they hired were awesome. The roofing contractor sucked and it was an absolute battle to get all the problems resolved with them. This is another area where Delta failed. The COMPLETELY stepped back and made me deal with the roofing contractor to get all the problems fixed. So much for being a general contractor representing your best interests when you have to fix the problems. I would NEVER use this company for any reason. You will be hung out to dry and you will have to manage everything yourself – which is exactly what they are supposed to be doing. AVOID.

Their mitigation business is excellent, but their construction division is woefully incompetent and set me back 2.5 months on the reconstruction of my home. I have e-mails, texts and recorded in-person/phone conversations proving this. Don’t make the same mistakes I did!

Delta and USAA together have caused us more problems than they fixed following a water incident. As a local business owner, I want to support others like me…this has been roundly tossed back in our face in this case, without empathy, transparency, communication, or concern. 1. We paid Delta a $6400 deductible directly to get water mitigation underway, and mitigation went okay (Day 1-2 after water) 2. Delta secured contractors to do the repairs, and provide a insurance estimate (Day 45-60) 3. Delta told us to “take the deal private” with their contractors 4. Delta’s contractors cancelled on us as soon as that happened. Delta would not come back into the picture when we told them. 5. We went to Craigslist to find a substitute (Day 60+) 6. Substitute did bad work which we fixed with our own labor (Day 150) 7. After being dark for 3 months, Delta filed a lien on our house for an additional $2600 (Day 180) 8. We asked for and had a meeting with their GM, Kristian, and laid out our case and concerns (Day 195) 9. Kristian would not budge, but said he would review documentation and get back to us after a family vacation 10. I researched all documentation provided to USAA and found their numbers did not add up…indicating we already overpaid by $2400 with the original deductible. (Day 200) 11. I emailed Kristian a couple of times to inquire about this and have had no response (Day 220) 12. We found that Delta submitted their lien claim to a credit agency prior to the meeting with Kristian, but he did not inform us of this. The credit agency wants an incremental $800 service fee (Day 240) This will have to go to court next as we feel we have claims against them:…we have significantly overpaid, plus the lack of communication, kids getting splinters in feet for 6 months while nothing was repaired, etc. I would not survive as a business owner if I worked this way…but insurance response services have a way of trapping people in a situation they can’t avoid, and it doesn’t easily punish bad service provider behavior. Photos attached: the floors we lived with for 6+ months, and the poor workmanship we had to correct after their services bailed on us.

Delta Disaster is so named not because of what they do, but because of how they deal with their customers. Our dealings with this company have been nothing short of a disaster. They were quick to respond to secure our business from our insurance company after a plumbing leak, but every action they have taken since has been slow, inefficient and often incomplete. Three months after a plumbing leak, we have a gutted kitchen and no timeline of when it will be complete. They communicate poorly with us and their subcontractors. Often when asked direct questions, their answers don’t match their actions – for instance when I left the house to go to the grocery store and asked the workman directly if I could access the fridge when I returned, was assured I could, and returned 30 minutes to a sealed off kitchen. They leave a lockbox on the front door but don’t provide any workmen with the code. They’ve left unsafe worksites, doors standing wide open, and a subcontractor cracked the kitchen granite (still unresolved and unaddressed after three weeks). I haven’t successfully been able to get this company to call our correct phone number (they call our disconnected home number not cell phones despite multiple requests) much less complete the work. Weeks have gone by with no one from Delta showing up to do work or updating us on reasons for delay despite multiple calls. Our insurance company has not been the cause of these delays, to be clear. Three different managers have promised to “improve communication” with little change. I have heard “That’s not my problem” from at least three employees on different occasions when I’ve contacted them with questions or concerns. Go elsewhere if you have the option, as I will certainly never work with disastrous Delta again.
