Josh, the installer/technician was impressively knowledgeable and helpful. He was clearly concerned to make sure the job was done ( and explained) thoroughly and correctly. He identified and dealt with a critical problem area that the original estimator had missed … avoiding a call-back for a bigger problem later. People who love the work they do are always the best people to deal with.

We signed up for the VIP plan with Spencer and loved the service, however, things have been on the decline since they were bought out by Rocket. Most recently I was charged twice when I paid my bill online. Aside from that, we have fireant, mosquito, and stinging insect protection, and have noticed more of all 3 pests this year. We have had our services canceled last minute on a few occasions, and then rescheduled weeks later, if they rescheduled at all, and I had to actually mention we hadn’t had our monthly fireant treatment since February. We just really feel like we are not getting what we are paying for, and are actively looking for a new provider, and so far, they seem to be about twice as expensive as other providers in the area.

My previous servicer was bought by Rocket Pest and they have been nothing but a hassle. They continued to send me bills for monthly service after signing up for autodraft which required several months to correct. They give no notice of when they are coming and instead call the day of and say they are in the neighborhood. The one time they called in advance, they never showed up. I sold my house in April and called to cancel. I was told that I had to wait on a call from a customer care department which I never received. It is now June and I am filing disputes with the bank because they continue to charge me after multiple cancelation calls. Be careful with all the positive reviews as the reviews from the previous company who was fantastic followed after the takeover.

I loved Spencer Pest control and then Rocket bought them out. Customer service is terrible and communication from technician’s is nonexistent. I wanted more information on the mosquito treatment we were using due to a stray cat that showed up in our yard. No one returned the call, and the service was canceled. Every time there is a service scheduled, “a note” is left for the technicians to call me on their way. In over 2 years it has NEVER happened. I should’ve canceled their service as soon as they took over. I have had technicians show up at 6:45am at my home when the appt is scheduled after 8am. Every time I call to resolve issues, I am brushed off and told someone will call me . That return phone call never happens either. Save yourself the trouble and give your money to a local company that’ll treat you right.
