A guy came door to door a month or so ago. I told him that we already had a pest service that we like. Last night, another guy came by, this time at 9pm! Who does this?

I deeply regret my decision to hire Aptive Pest Control. We had a minor ant issue in our living room, and their salesman convinced us to sign up. While the technician was polite and tried his best, the service/product itself was a disaster. Within days, our kitchen was overrun with ants. We called for a re-service, which they did on-time but it did not help us. For the past three weeks, we’ve been waking up to ants everywhere – cabinets, drawers, countertops. It’s a daily struggle to clean up, and it’s made our mornings incredibly stressful. The frustration caused by this ongoing infestation is immense. We’re desperate to cancel the contract and go with the ants spray available at home depot.

Just an awful company. Have you sign a contract weeks before service, communication for service is lacking technician showed up 2 hours late after sending 30 minutes till I’ll be at the house. Was told on site that I had a 2 day contract to void the contract without a fee but when I called the customer service they said that was not true again showing the communication is off. Then when taking care of spider webs they didn’t remove hardly any webs more just moved them around. DO NOT SIGN UP TO USE THIS COMPANY 2 YEAR CONTRACT REQUIRED. you’re better off doing it yourself

The door-to-door salespeople will waste your time with their pitches full of half-truths and complete lies. If there is even an ounce of decent service behind all of this, it’s not obvious considering how incredibly inconsiderate these people are of your time, and they won’t take no for an answer unless you just close the door. Great job taking advantage of people with vague pricing schemes, hopeful efficacy, and “certified” qualifications, but I doubt the same sales tactics will work on anyone paying attention. Is there a do-not-contact list? I’ve asked Aptive many times to not come back unless we reach out, and each year they opt to ignore that. How many times do I need to repeat “we aren’t interested and won’t be, don’t come back”? Don’t come back.

Original: CSRs and on-site personnel have been great, clearly outlining expected results. Very happy to find a product that takes care of our ant problem without harming the environment – very important to us, and the results after two applications are great!! Since my original post/review, and several services later, we still have no issues with ants… very pleased. Update June 2024: have the recurring service and the rep’s that visit consistently provide great service and we never have the issues we once did
