BEWARE MASSEY!! We bought a new home in March. We have our own amazing lawn treatment company (Bullseye) that we brought with us. The previous homeowners apparently had hired Massey for lawn care, and forgot to cancel their services before they sold. Without our consent or notice, Massey serviced our lawn and almost killed our grass. I immediately called them and told them that the previous homeowners no longer own the home and to please stop servicing our lawn. They said okay no problem. Then they sent a salesperson to our house a few days later. He was very friendly and appeared like he was there to help remedy the situation. But I could not have been more wrong. He took our contact information under the ruse of correcting the issue. But instead, they changed the name on the invoice to ours and kept billing us. They serviced our lawn a second time, again almost killing our grass. I called again and also sent an email to corporate. I received a call from the GM saying it would get taken care of. And now months later I’m receiving collections calls. They’re either extremely disorganized or are liars, either way I wouldn’t do business with them.

I have the exact same experience that others had. I signed up for a monthly pest control service for our condo association. Brandon, the sales rep, is lovely and has been nothing but nice and attentive throughout this entire process of me dealing with the home office. I’ve explained multiple times that there are 3 units in our complex. The technician came out on May 30th to spray one unit. I called the Jax beach office and was told someone will come out and spray again. A week later, the same thing happened. They came out and only sprayed one unit. So I told them I want a refund of the 74.00 that they charged me for May’s service since 1/3 of the yard was completed. I was told last week that a technician will come on again to spray the other two units. Surprise surprise, no one showed up. I called the number to the Jax beach office and the phone just keeps ringing. I don’t think anyone is ever there. I’m done with this service and am now going through the headache of trying to get a refund for May and cancelling my service. I thank the stars I did not pay the full annual amount ahead of time. Please take your business elsewhere. This company is great when you sign up, but the customer service is so horrible, you’ll regret it.

Ever since Peninsular was bought by these people the service has been awful. Eleven days ago someone shows up out of the blue to treat my lawn. Since I have “call a day ahead” in my file the gates were locked. After calling several times I was told the manager was going to call me. I’m guessing to reschedule. HE QUIT. Then six days later they come for another surprise visit and the same result— no appointment, no call ahead, so no entry to my property. I call and get told they will be out the following Monday, still no manager call but I’m able to set the appointment with Stacey who answers the phones. What a shocker – THEY ARE A NO SHOW on Monday. Again I call Stacey, set another appointment for Wednesday and she makes sure it’s confirmed. Guess what? Wednesday comes and goes with ANOTHER NO SHOW. Each time I call and ask about this manager who took over, Anthony, but he’s always unavailable. Is this really how you want to treat a client that prepaid for an entire year? Unacceptable

Be warned, these people are a disaster. My grass was being serviced by Peninsular, which was acquired by Massey. Last summer, I didn’t like the way my grass looked and cancelled my service. About a month later, I got home from work and found a sign in my front yard saying my lawn had been serviced. I called the office and told them they’d made a mistake, and I wouldn’t be paying the invoice. The gentleman on the phone was kind enough, said he’d made the change. Fast forward to December and I receive a $50 invoice from Massey. I called again and explained the situation, though this time the lady on the phone said she was powerless, and the GM would have to handle my case. She gave him my number and he left me a voicemail the next day. I called him back and left a voicemail, never heard back again. The $50 invoices continued to show up at my house. Yesterday, I called the office again. The lady on the phone said I had the wrong number, gives me another number. I call that number, am given another number to call. I call that number; they tell me to call the previous number. I tell them I’m not calling anyone else, get me a decision maker on the phone. They put me on hold and call the previous number, who calls me and apologizes but doesn’t seem convinced that she should be helping me. She tells me the person who can help me is in a meeting, and she’ll give her my number and to expect a call yesterday or today. There’s less than two hours left in the business day, no call received yesterday or today. Let me be clear: these folks are obviously not interested in actually solving problems and have zero concept of customer service. It’s a big merry-go-round of dysfunction where nobody cares or makes a decision. Buyer beware.

I called Massey to do a termite inspection and to install some termite prevention measures. They were very cordial and sent Brian out for a consultation. Brian was very nice and explained everything completely, and I knew exactly what I was getting. Couldn’t recommend Massey and Brian more.
