1 Is the lowest review score allowed. Paid less for a lifetime subscription to xm radio and have transferred it to 4 cars seamlessly. Lifetime member, years ago I received a set of chisels and a router for my lifetime membership, also a cap, belt buckle and a patch to sew on my jacket. Never got the magazine. Wonder how much money the guy made off with. Never again, if I still lived in Minnetonka when they stopped communicating I would have gone to their office to exact revenge. Lesson learned

Found a cap in Thailand with their logo, very nice cap! 20baht, very cheap price! I am now a life time member as well

I became a Handyman Club of America Life Member some years ago. I have not heard from them for over ten years. Yes, I paid for the membership up front. I was not sure that they still exist. I decided to search for them on Google after finding my Life Member belt buckle.

I loved being a member of handyman club. I’ve been a member for fifteen years. I have a keychain they sent me and it broke today 02-23-24 so I’m upset about that ! Well…, I would like to rejoin if Handyman starts up again.

I signed for the lifetime membership back in 1994 and it was okay for awhile with stuff they sent you to test. Then everything stopped around 2000. No more anything. I got a 5 year anniversary money clip that I still use and that was in 1998. Tried to call and email them and got nothing. I gave up on them about 15 or 20 years ago. Didn’t know if they closed up shop or what.

I became a lifetime member back in the late 1980’s – early 1990’s. It was a pretty cool membership until they just kind of disappeared around 2000’s or just before. I did receive their magazine once a month like clockwork, and they were extremely nice and helpful. I built some really awesome pieces of furniture and a gardening workbench from the detailed plans in each magazine. They also had a program where you could opt in to test and review tools for free, and keep everything you test. You had to either call a number or go online once a month to sign up for the tool testing. It was first come first served and limited quantity, so some months I got a test product and some months I didn’t depending on how early in the month I applied. I tested a handheld battery powered drill, router bits, drill bits, reaming set, punches, small precision screwdriver set, and a few new small tool inventions to test out and review prior to their mass production. Like I said, it was a pretty cool company while it lasted. I sure do miss getting the magazines, as well as the free tools. I don’t necessarily feel ripped off or scammed because the estimated price of all the tools I got to keep was more than I paid for the lifetime membership, and I use them all still today minus the drill which died about 7 years ago (a drill working for a little more than 20 years, not bad). I still keep my eyes and ears open for their return in hopes that I can start where I left off, but I won’t hold my breath 🙁. Sorry for all the other people that feel like they were scammed.

Didn’t even remember signing up for this spoof 10 or so years ago. Found the paperwork while trashing old stuff & remembered. Long story short, I haven’t been billed BUT I also haven’t received any tools (as opposed to the membership info). I’m 99.9% sure that’s how they financed this venue….people sign up, don’t get the promised membership material & keep paying the subscription. Sad because it WAS a good idea. If you have a lifetime membership, I’d recommend a class action lawsuit.

I had a membership to handyman club of America, which was a life membership. I’ve never received any information in regards to my magazine and membership. It looks like a Lot have the same problem. How do we get reimbursed for the money we spent on becoming a life member?thank you Jim.
