10 months agoGreat experience working here in the two years I’ve been a security professional. Great people and great employers. I would like to extend my services to you to upgrade your clientele base. Love the company and could definitely utilize more sites in the NYC area.

a year agoSupervisor Dawn has a very nasty attitude and should be trained how to speak to people and learn to be honest during the interview process.

a year agoThey fire their employees for speaking to their clients bout complains , fairly sure that’s work place retaliation. Report them to the labor department . Start building a case and flow record of them doing it .

2 years agoI’ve worked in security for over a decade at the same site, and have seen several security companies come and go due to their inability to meet the customer’s (and guards) needs. Sunstates, despite their grandiose sales pitch and initial promises, has proven to be more of the same. Inability to recruit and/or retain guards, fill the schedule without guards being consistently pressured to work 12 -16 hour shifts (posts often go unmanned), etc. No provisions made for security licence renewal. Constant runaround from corporate leadership in regards to PTO (site specific promises were made as far as grandfathering previously accrued time, etc. that remain unkept). On the positive side, our paychecks clear, Sunstates management themselves are polite and personable, and they aren’t yet owned by Allied Universal.

2 years agoSo far, not much I can say considering I couldn’t get a call back from them after submitting my resume and application online. They advertised for Security Officer in Albany , but no one bothered to respond by phone, mail,or email and text. I’ve been working in the industry since before we were mandated to be registered with NYS division of Licensing Services (1979). I’m armed certified, but I’m willing to work unarmed just for the sake of being able to work after 5 years on disability, but can’t get an interview?, I’m good, I’m sure someone will hire me real soon.

4 years agoAwesome company, they work with you they are considerate of your time and are truely fair. Only downside…. they need more sites and better hours.
