Ernie was on time, very professional and nice. He went over options and offered suggestions and I’m very satisfied with his service. Understand that places are very busy. Quote was rcvd. in a week. Cannot rate the work at this time because a decision has not been made but I will highly suggest this business and Ernie (or whomever) is the project coordinator to be timely, professional and very, very nice. Thank you

4/17/24 – Called MC Fence and Deck – Anne Arundel to get an estimate on fixing an 8 ft section of vinyl privacy fence when a neighbor’s tree branch fell on it and broke the top rail. I spoke to Hallie Pittsley and told her I was looking specifically for the brand of fence called ‘Illusions’ Vinyl Fence and did they work with that brand, as I wanted it to match my current fence. Hallie said she had to ask her General Manager to see if they did. While she was checking, I emailed Hallie pics of my fence, and explained that the top rail was broken in half, but the posts and fence boards were fine. Just need the top rail and installation to put the fence back together. She said her GM stated that they do work with Illusions and we setup an appt. for 4/22/24 at 10am for an estimate of the project. I received a TXT msg confirming the 4/22 appt. with Eric Hardman, my ‘Project Manager’. 4/20/24 – Received an email confirming my 4/22/24 appt., and that Eric Hardman was my ‘Sales Representative’. 4/21/24 – Received another TXT msg confirming my appt. with Eric. 4/22/24 –Took off work and waited for Eric Hardman at 10am and no one showed up. I called Hallie at 10:22am asking if there was an issue as Eric hadn’t shown up. She apologized and said that she would call him and call me right back. Hallie called back at 10:29am and said that her Wi-Fi was down, and she couldn’t get to my profile and would call me back within a half hour (by 11am). **You don’t need Wi-Fi to call a cell to see what happened! ** Hallie never called me back at 11:00, nor did anyone from MC Fence and Deck ever call me back again. So why no call back? If Eric forgot about the appt., why not call me back, admit it, and reschedule or whatever the issue was, why not just call me and tell me instead of not returning my calls?? And as I look back at my TXT msgs and emails from MC Fence, is Eric Hardman a ‘Project Manager’, a ‘Sales Representative’ or as I found in a Google review response from him, that he signed ‘General Manager’. Does he hold all three titles? This was the 1st appointment with a new customer, and this shows what type of company they run. Terrible customer service, let alone not taking responsibility for the missed appointment and then ghosting me. Wanted others to know my experience, as it looks like they have a 5-star rating, but MC Fence and Deck have many locations, so the 5 stars may be the VA locations, and not the Anne Arundel one. I recently had a fence installed by MC. There was some confusion on the install date, but Dani the GM stepped up and took care of it promptly and professionally. Juan did the install. He does great work with a high level of attention to detail. You can tell he has a lot of experience. I am happy and would recommend them.
