The siding crew did an excellent job! Only stopping for lunch. No breaks. Excellent craftsmanship. The painting crew were meticulous from prep to finish. Don’t worry about a big paint mess, there was none. Steven, Joe and John were great to work with. Our house now looks like we have moved!

I called Tulsa Renew due to their reviews. At this point I’m having difficulty believing they are all real! I had a scheduled appointment with Steven the owner on Tuesday Feb. 13th at 4pm for a siding and paint estimate. He didn’t show up. I called his scheduling department and they said they would reach out to him to find out what was going on. He called me about an hour later to state he had been in an accident on the way to my house. I understood and we discussed the project over the phone. He said he didn’t need to come out to look at it and that he could see my house from an estimating tool ap to get the info needed. I had also measured the square footage of siding to be replaced as I am familiar with these type jobs. I have a total of just under 310 square feet of siding and rounded up to 340 (10% extra for waste). I would also need about 10 pieces of 7/16″ osb, house wrap and some trim. He stated he would email me an estimate that night. I never received it. I called him the next day late morning. He then just stated he hadn’t emailed the estimate but that I was looking at $34,000.00. I said for 340 square feet of siding and to paint fascia board and soffit? He said yes because his crews are employees and he pays them well. I’m not sure what type of calculator this guy uses but he was about 300% higher than any of the other preferred James Hardie siding companies in the Tulsa area. Total material cost for this job would be about $3,000.00 give or take a couple hundred. Material and labor for siding should run about $15-$18 per square foot and about $4 per square foot for paint. Only one of two possibilities here. He is either raking customers over the coals due to their lack of knowledge, or my job wasn’t big enough and he purposely bid an outrageous price (if that’s the case have some integrity and say I’m not interested in the job). Either way folks, do yourself a favor and make sure to get multiple quotes and get an idea of material and labor cost for the work needed. Quality craftsmanship is important and more expensive than a general laborer but his price is way over the top!
