I can genuinely say without a doubt Jon at Hodgkiss Construction is a very solid and trustworthy person, he helped me out and didn’t have to do that. I appreciate it much!

Jon Hodgkiss and his team were excellent in the construction of our new Trex deck. The staff were professional, courteous and responsive in the design and construction of our project. Jon was very helpful in assisting us in developing a design which was both practical and aesthetic. Would wholeheartedly recommend this firm to anyone who is seeking someone to meet their decking needs and requirements.

I hired John 10 years ago and need his number to do a job in our new home. I was shocked to see he only has 3-1/2 stars. John’s quality is tops! He built a great deck for us and when we had an issue with the lights he came out promptly to fix it. At the time was the highest bid of three but only by a small amount, but his design and his work is much better than the other decks done in our old neighborhood.

I hired Jon and his team to build a 19×19 patio roof. They did an amazing job. I did extensive research on many other builders in the Pittsburgh area and we are so glad that we chose Jon and his team. Jon was confident that he could deliver me a high quality roof. The roof exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend Hodgkiss Construction.

Seems to be an aggressively arrogant company based on our own experience. Unfortunate because quality seems acceptable but wow..they are difficult and showy. May be safer to build with a Co. in mid price range but with polite customer service skills.

Hodgkiss Construction is BY FAR the best deck / patio / roof builder in the Pittsburgh area. They were extremely prompt during the bid process, answered all of our questions thoroughly, and were very eager and willing to work with us on the design in order to meet our budget needs. They showed up on time during the construction process and always left the job site clean when they left. The construction speaks for itself. The attention to detail is absolutely amazing. Top notch materials and craftsmanship all the way around. I would not hesitate to work with Hodgkiss Construction on any project at my house. You can trust that it will be done correctly and looking fabulous.
