First class. Professional. Detailed. Honest. What else can I say about Southern Porch? They did a deck removal and replacement remodel for my home, and every step of the way, from talking about the design with James and Kevin on site, selecting details and items, start date, quality of work were simply outstanding. We were amazed at the clean up, but more so with the construction which was simply top notch. Kevin and James were great to work with and always friendly. The folk who came to the house always were polite and attentive. And on a couple of points they had questions about a few things or I did and everything ran like clockwork. The inspector even commented on how good the construction was from top to bottom. James knows his stuff, I assure you. Super attentive to detail. Like always, I got 3 bids on these projects. Candidly, Southern Porch wasn’t the most expensive nor the cheapest of the three, but I have no regrets about that. My philosophy is I don’t want to sit under a 300 pound chandelier at a fine restaurant that was installed by the lowest bidder! Same with my home. No regrets going with Southern Porch. Neither will you, trust me. No one asked me for this review, and I rarely do them. But when a company stands out as one that deserves praise and your business, I can’t say enough about these folk. Absolutely use this company! Their communication was exceptional, and the work was completed within an impressive timeframe. The pricing was affordable and fair. They are trustworthy, and the final product exceeded our expectations. The team was neat and maintained cleanliness on the job site. Kevin and his team were very friendly. Kevin and his crew were top notch throughout the entire process. We had a 34 ft. long, wooden deck that we wanted to replace with composite decking and vinyl railings. We had a dream of turning the space under the deck into a screened-in porch for our hot tub and they made that dream a reality! They added a metal under-decking ceiling below the upper deck so that we stay dry and bug free. They also added stairs to the ground level and electrical work for three outlets and our hard-wired 240v hot tub. It came out nothing short of amazing. James and his helpers worked tirelessly, meticulously and professionally from the beginning to completion. James takes great pride in his work and it shows! They were always available via text or phone call for any questions we had along the way. I would highly recommend Southern Porch for any project!

Cannot say enough great things about Rodney at Southern Porch. He was timely in responding, transparent with all expectations (date of work and costs), followed through with those expectations, reasonably priced, very professional, fast workmanship and fantastic final reveal. I can’t be any happier with the columns and transformation of my house! Thank you Rodney!!

Andrew and Mike at The Southern Porch Company are hands down one of the best people to work with and the results speak for themselves. Our 30 year old, 10×28 deck needed to be replaced and my wife and I wanted to add a screened in porch in addition to replacing the deck with Trex and vinyl railings. I contacted 7 companies in the Lynchburg area, and was immediately contacted by Andrew. Initially I was drawn to them because, admittedly, they were the most affordable. However beyond that, their communication was quick and he gave a very detailed rundown on the contract of what exactly would be completed, along with estimating a 4 week timeframe. They started the project sooner than planned, finished on time and were within budget, outside of a few items I had asked for in addition to the quoted work, and I couldn’t be happier. The results speak for themselves. If you need your deck replaced give the guys at Southern Porch a call!

Kevin and his team are top notch! We recently purchased a home in Rustburg, VA and wanted a screen porch installed before we moved in. We interviewed multiple contractors – but Kevin’s professionalism, timeliness, craftsmanship, pricing and transparency stood out above the rest. If you are in need of a screen porch in the Lynchburg Area – look no further than Kevin and Southern Porch Co. He provided a detailed scope of work, cost estimate, job completion timeline, and contract that all held true. His resourced concrete and electrician were both great and went above and beyond to ensure the job was done right. He provided photos of updates and made suggestions based on the layout of the home, relocating a light on the back porch, and even recommending fan sizes and dimensions to install. I know this space will be our favorite room in the house thanks to Kevin and his team.

Kevin and his team did an absolutely amazing job building our screen porch. By his own admission, it was one of his largest jobs and he completed it on time and with no issues. From even before he began the work when we interviewed him to the very end, he was professional, courteous, answered all our questions, and was always accessible. The quality of the work speaks for itself and we are beyond happy with the results!
