Highly recommend! Sundeck replaced our deck last summer and added a roof. Their estimate was about the same as other companies, and even less than some. They were great to work with in the planning stage, and were very patient with us while we decided on colors and materials. I had something in mind, but asked for their recommendations, and realized that their suggestions would look better than what I thought I wanted. During the construction, they worked a set schedule, they didn’t blast music (we work at home), and they were always polite, friendly, and professional. Best of all, they did a fantastic job! Everything was done to a very high standard. We absolutely love our new covered deck! I wish I could find companies like theirs to do all the work we need done on our house.

John and his crew did a fantastic job re-decking our front porch. He provided some creative suggestions to improve the aesthetics. Both he and the team also showed excellent attention to quality and detail. Top notch work!

I would highly recommend John and his team at Sundeck Designs. They did fantastic work at a fair price and were great problem solvers along the way. I had a front and back deck completely replaced and a new railing installed – they were great in mitigating some challenges that came up along with way and provided great solutions. Everyone I met from Sundeck was communicative, respectful and hard working. I would definitely recommend them!

Sundeck Designs recently replaced our old wooden deck and built a new composite deck in its place. They did a fantastic job. The primary crew, Patrick, Jake, and Nate, were efficient, clean, and respectful. They showed up on time on the date they said they would start the project. And they finished by the date they said they would be done. And I was especially impressed that the owners, John and Laura, even pitched in to help to keep the project on schedule. Also, we had a bit of a tricky deck situation that involved working around a big old tree and meshing the deck with an adjacent screen porch. But Sundeck Designs came up with solutions that worked and look really nice and professional.

The whole team at Sundeck Designs does great work. The ipe deck they built dramatically improved our home and the way we can enjoy the outdoors. I am a fine craftsman by trade and I usually do most work on our home myself, mostly because I don’t expect other people to pay as much attention to detail as I do. But we are so glad we had Sundeck build our deck–they did a far better job on it than I would have. They know the process inside and out. The owners, Laura and John, know their stuff and came up with the best design for our site. Their crew were professional, attentive to details, and kind (they were even careful of the genre and volume of music they played while working). I was actually amazed at how much time they took to carefully space and level the hardwood planks. Only the outside trim pieces got screws through the top, and these screw holes were plugged with the same ipe hardwood, and smoothed flat–instead of a distraction, these plugs add to the beauty of the deck. We were never left out of any key decisions. Everyone on their team takes pride in their work and they enjoy it. Now we get to enjoy the deck they built.

We bought a house with a large, but unsafe redwood deck. It needed a railing and steps that were to code. We looked into a redwood railing, but it was getting expensive, so we looked into metal railings. Sundeck Designs was quick at scheduling a visit, could see just what we needed and recommended a great solution for us. John even saw that we needed help with covers for the basement escape windows and solved that problem easily too. We got a quality job, for a fair price, and prompt service. Great Job Sundeck!

As others have said, Sundeck Designs does great work. We had an older 2nd floor deck that was nearing the end of its life. John, Laura and their crew did a great job of scoping out a replacement, which was not simple due to the update in building code and how it would attach to the house. We also wanted to add some custom touches, including a bar rail and Ipe wood (a favorite wood of ours that we had at a past house) and commercial-grade railings. The whole building process went incredibly smoothly. The workers were professional, unobtrusive and always cleaned up the site. In the middle of the build Fort Collins was hit with a large snow storm. It didn’t slow things down much, and they even came and removed the snow so they could easily continue on the next day. The custom work and fabrication came out beautiful and the whole project went great. In a world where contractors so often cut corners, don’t finish projects or leave a lot to be desired Sundeck stands out as a clear choice for anyone looking for a great deck.

Sundeck replaced our 15-year-old deck with a slightly larger deck. The deck is beautiful! The materials they used are high quality, and the precision of the cuts and joining done by Jake & Peter are very impressive. They were careful with the landscaping in our yard, kept the work area clean, and were good company throughout the project. Thanks also to John & Patrick for supervising the job!
