Moving to a new house in a different state is challenging. As senior citizens, we were fortunate to find Greg Bloom of Big Bear Construction to oversee many important interior and exterior projects to make us feel at home. Among them were painting and electrical upgrades, building a new back porch and improving the front steps, and installing safety measures in both the house and garage. Greg listens to our ideas, gives professional recommendations for any changes, and prepares detailed plans to organize and carry out the work. He himself is a talented carpenter and technician, and he brings in skilled and reliable crews in other trades, as needed, to complete a job successfully and on time. Whether it’s a large or small project, Greg is thoughtful, respectful, and responsive, and he’s a delight to work with. He’s the first person we call to handle any of our household upgrades and construction needs. We know we can depend on him.

Greg is a pro at what he does. He’s replaced my windows, finished my basement and added a full bathroom in the past and most recently he just finished renovating an old bathroom for me. We love it!

Greg’s company is reliable and does nothing but quality work. Our kitchen backsplash needed to be replaced, and he was awesome. He helped with color selection, edging options, and got us on the right road. They were always conscious about cleaning up at the end of the day and treated us with respect. The finished product looks great and we get tons of compliments. We will certainly use Big Bear Construction in the future.

Greg did an awesome job on our project. We removed a few partial walls on our main floor. He helped us through the process of figuring out exactly what we wanted, coming out multiple times before we even started the renovation. He was very understanding and responsive with any issues that came up. We had to have multiple specialties come in (electrician, plumber, etc) and he always had someone ready to go when we needed. There was never any down time when we were just waiting on something to happen. And the results look even better than we hoped. We feel like we have a whole new house! Thanks Greg!

Greg did a great job with finishing our basement. He gave a very detailed quote to start with, was very flexible and responsive. In our house, he was very respectful of our family especially with the COVID-19 pandemic. He kept to a timeline with delays clearly communicated. The subcontractors Greg used were also very respectful. The quality of the craftsmanship was excellent and the basement looks fantastic! I would recommend Greg to anyone finishing their basement and will look to work with Greg on future home projects.
