His team are very knowledgeable and did a great job to strengthen my deck for future wear and weather. I would not hesitate to recommend his work for any of your needs. Mike and his crew did a great job on my deck repair project. They replaced multiple joists and all of the decking. Told Mike that CCWW felt like an “old Austin” experience. Friendly folks who really care about the quality of their work. I highly recommend this company!

Mike was great. He took a look at our balcony and porch posts and was quick to point out that what we were seeing was nothing to be alarmed by. His honesty and professionalism is top notch. We didn’t need his services this time around but will definitely have him on our speed dial for future woodworking projects. Give him a call, you won’t regret it.

Mike and his team did an amazing job on our house. They replaced two wood columns on our front porch that had rotted and begun to sag, which was causing issues with our front door and the interior of the wall next to the porch. In addition to replacing the columns, they reset our front door and did significant repair work to the drywall on the interior of the house. It was a tricky job that needed to be handled delicately, and Mike’s team did incredible work every step of the way. Communication was always good and they completed the work quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend Capitol City Wood Works for any project.

We discovered a termite-riddled header above the garage door so the project came to an abrupt halt. Owner Mike Griffin came to the rescue, expediting the replacement of the header so as to secure the garage. Claudio and his crew were great guys and did an exemplary job of taking on the challenge and I would gladly have them back for future projects! (can’t seem to post some photos)

These guys did a fence for us and it looks amazing! There were a few small mistakes but they fixed them with a smile. I would recommend them and have to neighbors and friends.

Mike and his fabulous crew took on a large project at my residence which entailed replacing a lot of old wood around the windows of my 1964 Northwest Hills home, plus repainting the entire exterior top to bottom. Not only did they do a fantastic job, Mike had his crew really organized in terms of scheduling the work in the proper order, taking detailed notes and photos, and letting me know of any additional issues as they came up. Every house project always spawns more ideas for changes and Mike was super helpful in doing some interior work (removing some old doors and creating archways), and even did a great job power washing my standing seam metal room when it came into my mind that maybe that needed to be done. He is currently helping me select and go through the process of replacing my front door as well as installing some sliding doors that lead from the kitchen to the patio & outdoor living area. He is very detailed, focused, caring and truly wants the best for his customers. I trust his word 100% and he will be my go-to person in the future for any additional nutty home improvement ideas I might have. I had an excellent experience with Mike and his team.

Mike G and his crew helped repair my deck which started collapsing in slow-motion after the February freeze in Austin. It turned out that almost all of the support pillars had succumbed to moisture rot long ago and weren’t really holding much weight! CCWW were the only contractors I spoke with who gave me a detailed, itemized estimate. We found additional items after taking the deck apart and all of these new details were explained to me and documented as well. The project took 3+ weeks and the end cost was a bit higher than expected but totally worth it — I feel safe with my kids & dogs playing out in our back yard again. Thanks, Mike!
