I live on a lake and the windows we purchased for our sunroom leak everytime we get heavy rain. The rep told my wife this is normal…so I jump’d on the call and explained that the blinds on the inside of my window are getting wet. I don’t think this is normal! UPDATE 6/18/2024: Now I am being asked questions that I haven’t a clue what is being asked. Why am I being asked to give installation measurements? QUESTION FROM MIWD: “MIWD would require the following measurements from each window unit you are having issues with, from drywall to drywall in inches: Top left to bottom right; Top right to bottom left; Bottom left to bottom right; Middle left to middle right; Top left to top right; Additionally, if there are sashes, please remove each one you are having issues with and provide width and height measurements from vinyl to vinyl, also in inches.” WHY CAN’T THEY SEE THAT WATER IS ENTERING FROM THE TOP OF THE WINDOW? UPDATE 7/9/2024: The responses from the company to this post are just automated responses (BOTS). I had to continue to call customer service and the distributor to get action. Waiting for the repair person to look at the windows today. Response time is pitiful.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We purchased our new home 1 year ago. During the walkthrough it was apparent all 4 windows of one certain type would not open, or if opened it would get stuck and not close. Here we are 11 months since contacting MI and they still aren’t fixed. I send emails and receive the same lame response: they are backed up and will get to us when they can. Finally a tech comes out and he can’t figure out a fix so he says his supervisor will come out. Over 2 months of me emailing and the supervisor finally comes out, says he will send replacements but only sends the bottoms even though the tops won’t work. I contact customer service again to be told I just need the bottoms, it doesn’t matter that the tops don’t work. Then I get a call from the tech supervisor and when I answer he is immediately yelling at me. Even when I try to diffuse him and the situation he acknowledges his actions, apologizes but then goes right back to yelling at me and telling me they will not repair or replace the windows, new ones must be bought. Bottom line, trash product from a trash company.

Thanks for have a very unprofessional drive on the road. Not to professional on the highway with your logo on the truck. In Lucedale MS. About 10pm on hwy 98.

I’ve replaced several widows that began to fog after 15 years. MI Windows couldn’t have been nicer or more responsive. They are very easy to work with and replaced my windows without any trouble.

Ordered a whole house of windows, 18 total, less than 2 years ago through west shore. Absolutely the worst product!! Upon delivery 3 windows were bad- would not stay up due to the inner workings of the windows. Upon install 2 more windows were found to be bad by not staying up/open. And now 1.5years later we go to open an extra bedrooms window and it has THE SAME PROBLEM. I would NOT recommend this manufacturer to anyone. This has been the biggest headache- calls, appts, having to be off work to let west shore fix this manufacturers mess ups. Extremely disappointed in these windows.

I would like thank MI Windows and Doors for their kind customer service. I needed parts for my patio doors. They quickly replied and accommodated me with the parts that was needed in a timely manner. I just thank you and your kind service. I would recommend your company for your kind heart and service. For me 5 STARS is not enough!!! Thank you sooo much. So appreciative.

Beware! Do not buy! (Read the fine print of the TWO-YEAR labor warranty) 10 of my bay windows and sliding glass doors were defective after just over two years. This was 3/4 of the total install for our new addition. MI will pay for the replacements BUT NOT THE LABOR FOR THE NEW INSTALLION. $ 2,200 DOLLARS. Not only that, if the new replacements are defective again after two more years, I will again have to pay the labor for the installation. Many 1-star reviews…

Purchased a home that was built with MI Windows – we are the third owner. The home is only 8 years old. The windows are already failing- the protective UV film is chipped/spotted, there are pieces of metal in between the dual panes, some of the single hung windows won’t stay open, the handles on the casement windows broke. The windows are complete junk in my opinion. Unfortunately the company will not honor the warranty because we are the third owner (they will only allow the first and second home owners to submit warranty claims). Definitely wouldn’t recommend MI Windows for new construction or replacement windows. The pictures only provide a very small amount of the deterioration on two of the windows.

Their website advertises transferable warranty, but they quickly pointed out you are not the original home owner. They must check the tax records? Almost all the windows failed before the 20 years warranty expired. They sent me a bill for replacements, but why should we buy from MI and their windows fail and they won’t honor their warranty.

Do not use these windows! Our windows are less than four years old. They are foggy and when we put a warranty claim in they want to charge over $400 in shipping! I have no problem paying for the labor but over $400 in shipping is ridiculous for windows that are less than five years old.
