I needed assistance with my basement being flooded. Given the urgency of the situation, this company coerced me into signing a “blanket contract” with no estimate and promptly started conducting work in my basement, including ripping out carpeting and wall paneling. They did not provide any status on how/when the work would be complete and what the associated expense would be. They certainly have taken advantage of the elderly in this case as I am 83 and have now sent me an invoice for $15,999.03 for “water mitigation services”. They were also not responsive to my inquiries and wouldn’t tell me (or my family) when they would arrive, what subsequent work they would conduct, what the timeframes were etc. It seems they have had numerous complaints of similar practices in their Yelp! reviews here. You will also note that this company writes back stating to the other rated 1 reviews signed a “certificate of completion” but when they said this to me I refused as their work was not completed in a satisfied manner so my “certificate of completion” is NOT COMPLETE and they took advantage of providing whatever price point in the invoice which I ended up having to pay most of out of pocket. Do NOT look at the 5 star reviewers here, I am confident they are from the company trying to make a better rating for themselves and are not true clients of this company. I even placed a notice into the Better Business Bureau to which the company has not responded to as of yet and I believe they will not since they got paid the astronomical amount… I am also providing the notice the Better Business Bureau sent to me regarding the claim: Dear (leaving my name blank here for confidentiality): Your complaint has been sent to the business for their response. I worked with Brian of Anthony restoration who came in and made me feel at ease despite the water damage that happened to my kitchen from my second floor bath. He kept me in the know of what the entire process was, how to work with insurance, and showed me evidence-based efforts to mitigate the water damage and microbial issues. About a week later the equipment was taken out and Brian showed me the decrease over time of moisture content and microbial content in the walls, which was really interesting to see. Afterwards, he recommended a construction Group he trusted and an HVAC repair group he trusted. It was wonderful working with Brian. He made me feel safe amidst a lot of turmoil in my first home.

We had water seeping up around the tiles next to the fridge. Brian Vent at Anthony Restoration was named as a person/company that could help. Brian got right back to me and told me what to do before a plumber arrived. His expertise and support mitigated what could have been way worse!

You gave us an estimate, and once you got the job, you changed your estimate and hikeped your price so much to the point that even our insurance refused to pay it . As far as far as me, being your customer Iam pretty sure there is only one Anthony Restoration in Gainesville!!!!

I had a ceiling leak and sagging paint issue in my condo from the leaking upstairs that the neighbor wasn’t aware of. Anthony Restorations came through and assessed the situation with class and professionalism. I was given detailed information of what was happening with the water damage in my laundry room during the inspection. They came out every day to check the progress of the work and informed me whenever they showed up if I wasn’t home. I appreciate doing business with Anthony Restoration and there conern for the customer to live in their homes. I would direct anyone who needs any issues taken care of with damages to their house to give them a call, you won’t regret it.

Brian Vent of the Gainesville office came to my home to test for mold. He was very thorough, patient, deligent, and friendly, and answered all my questions. He even went beyond the call of duty to locate another problem in my basement, which was not related to the original purpose for his visit. I will highly recommend Anthony Restoration in Gainesville, especially Brian Vent. His overriding concern was that I was well taken of, and my home was protected.
