This company took out the bridge on 40th Ave west in Duluth. They have trucks flipping on the job sites in Hermantown. Very unsafe company. They are not Union also. The CLA doesn’t not represent workers, but the company the workers are employed by… they are not a real Union for employees, but a union for the employer to take advantage of.

I drive by a sign that says “Shame on Kaski Inc.” every single day after work. I googled the company and there’s an immediate article stating their drivers aren’t trained and they’re responsible for bridge damages. Doesn’t sound good to me.

Jason and Zach did an excellent job of excavating, backfilling, grading and restoring my yard during the installation of my new sewer line. They were great to work with and communicated with me before, during and after explaining what they were doing and answering any questions or concerns that I had. Also thank you to Rachel who was my first contact and helped make sure that it was scheduled in a timely manner. Do not hesitate to hire Kaski Inc. You will not be disappointed. M

Kaski Inc is by far the most qualified and professional Commercial General Contractor in northern Minnesota. Had no problems, the whole process was cost effective, timely, and organized. Couldn’t be happier, and I will definitely be using them in the future. Thank you Kaski!

Disclaimer: I am physically disabled and live in public housing, so I wasn’t the one paying the contractor. I had a very poor experience with this contractor’s ability to show up on the agreed upon time, or communicate when issues had come up. The apartment window below me needed the top of the sill re-caulked because rain was leaking into their apartment. I waited from 8:30am to 3:30pm for the contractor to arrive last week, and he never showed up or called to let the building manager know he wouldn’t be arriving that day. We rescheduled for yesterday at a particular time, and the contractor again failed to show up. Today the contractor did arrive (without calling ahead as promised) and when he entered my apartment with the building manager, didn’t address me at all, completed the work (to whatever degree of accuracy and quality that I couldn’t begin to judge) and then, when given ample opportunity to apologize for wasting my time, instead proceeded to speak with the building manager about bidding on other work in the building. On his way out the door, when I realized he wasn’t going to say anything to me at all, I thanked him for “finally showing up” and he ignored me. (Not that there’s much you can say to that, I simply wanted to remind him of his negligence.) I found this unprofessional, immature, and arrogant. He valued his time over mine, and failed to own up to his failures despite being a grown man. My building manager also failed to hold him accountable, and her presence may have complicated the social interaction, so that’s an element of the equation as well. He was likely informed that I was unhappy with the situation, and may have been apprehensive because of that information. Still, I felt disrespected, and found his interest in securing more contracts over addressing his mistakes to be insulting. Having family who own businesses in the area, I would not suggest this company because of my experience. I recognize that things come up in contracting. Had he called to inform me that he wouldn’t make it on the days he never showed up, I would’ve understood. Had he apologized today, while frustrated, I would’ve been understanding. While courtesy is not necessarily the measurement of a contractor, timeliness and communication are important to ensure a job is done correctly and within constraints.
