From Start to Finish, Skelly Build is Exceptional—We’ve worked with Skelly Build on several large projects over the last five years including, the remodeling of main and half bathrooms, replacing all flooring, removing a wall to open up our dining room, updating our kitchen, and rebuilding our balcony from the foundation up. On our latest project, outcomes were outstanding, as always. With Skelly Build we are treated as partners. Everyone is professional, transparent, responsive and lovely to work with. We’d hire Skelly Build again in a heartbeat.

Lily was exceptional to work with in every aspect. She was incredibly professional, supportive, insightful, and solution-focused. Even with the standard unforeseen issues that pop up during renovation, she offered her honest opinions and many different avenues to explore. She is transparent and present throughout each step in the process. She follows through and is highly communicative. Also, she’s just a joy to talk to and be around! All in all, would highly recommend Lily and Skelly Build to anyone planning to renovate a space. Couldn’t be happier with my results!

I own a local small business in renovation here in Austin. This place has used up so much of our time in false bids that they just use to show high end contractors to get a cheap job done. They will do anything to make a dollar and do nothing to help the local community

I recently hired Skelly Build to execute a gut renovation of my condo in downtown Austin. Home renovations are stressful and too often frustrating, but the Skelly Build team did all they could to ensure a smooth and generally stress free process, all while delivering a top quality product that more than met my expectations. In the early planning stages, Diana Skellinger provided a comprehensive outline of scope and cost, and clearly explained the entire process from permit application to punch list and completion. Once construction began, I was assigned a full time project manager, Lily Harpham, who managed and orchestrated the entire project. She was a great partner, and I always felt that she had my best interests in mind. Recognizing that I am not the easiest person to deal with and that my expectations can be extremely high, her patience and understanding were much appreciated. Importantly, she regularly communicated project status, key milestones, scheduling, as well as all the good and the bad stuff we encountered along the way. Ultimately, she and the Skelly Build team delivered a tremendous project To the Skelly Build team … a job well done! Thank you.

An incredible home renovation experience is almost unheard of – and yet, that is what my family and I got when we worked with Skelly Build on our home renovation project. From the first phone call I had with Diana, I encountered a professional who was knowledgeable, kind, and clearly knew her business. She also understood the concept of value. We wanted our renovation dollars to go as far as they could and Diana got that. My husband and I purchased a 1950s ranch style house in south east Austin that needed to be taken to the studs. Our architect and designer were in Brooklyn, New York so we needed a renovation team that was flexible and prioritized excellent communication between all of us. We found that incredible partner in Skelly Build. Our project manager, Lily Harpham, is one-of-a-kind! Without her, the beautifully designed vision for our home would not have been a reality. Lily has a depth of construction knowledge and expertise that never ceased to amaze us. She is also an adroit and creative problem-solver. Lily was always honest with us when my husband and I had to grapple with new decisions that came along. Lily was very patient with our very detail-oriented natures. She is an excellent and timely communicator. All of the Skelly team members that we worked with were exceptional. Every person was kind, prompt in their communication, and thorough. Another shout-out has to go to Sean. Sean is the COO/CFO and was always there if the project needed his support in any way. Skelly Build stands behind their work. This is a company with integrity. The quality of their construction and ability to bring the beauty in design plans to life is brilliant. Highly, highly recommend Skelly Build.

HIRE THESE FOLKS, YESTERDAY! Do yourself that favor – I’m sure glad I did!! From custom book shelving, to Italian closet make ready (tearing out wingwalls and making it bigger), to incredible back splash with great POP, and some nuanced concrete shelving too, these folks are truly nailing it professionally. Which, if you know anything about General Contractors, that is not the norm (especially in Austin). Lily, my project manager was dogged and a consummate professional as well – big UPS TO HER (TOO)!! Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills from the whole firm. I had them do all my interior design construction work prior to moving into my new dream condo in the Independent in downtown. They are super folks too, nuff said. (see my first line)

It’s always a challenge to find a good general contractor, let alone finding a great general contractor. I learned the lesson the hard way and ended up having to fire my first general contractor during the complete gut out renovation of my condo at Seaholm. Enter Skelly Build to save the day! My experience with Diana (owner) and Lily (project manager) at Skelly Build cannot be more different from my first general contractor. Every component of the renovation required a high level of detail and skill – the installation of the Lutron / Ketra lighting, the technical challenges of installing the steam shower, the meticulous tile layouts … the list goes on and on. To add to their challenges, I have the curse of noticing every small imperfection. The Skelly Build team and their subcontractors were patient, accommodating and in constant communication with me every step of the way. Their subcontractors are the nicest people to work with as well, the electrician, the plumber, the tile installer, the painter … Diana and Lily are not your typical contractor type, not only they can speak fluently on the technical aspect of the rennovation, they also have the eyes for style and beauty. They worked harmoniously with my interior design team to realize their vision and to solve any problem. I am super happy with the result and big thanks to the Skelly Build team.
