Found they never put insulation in are attic and they told us its past are year, so i called the winnebago inspector and he said they dont have to inspect insulation. I then figured out who was supposed to insulate and they came out the next day and sprayed in insulation at no charge! But we went 2 years with no insulation in are attic and why vulcan couldn’t reach out to there sub contractor! And this is just the main one of many issues. There should ba a law against allow them to continue to take advantage of people

We have lived in our home for three years. We have reported issues upon issues even during our one year punch list. Well needless to say do to poor install and Lack of care for their work we have had to shell out thousands of dollars to get things fixed. They continue to change their name so they can’t get in trouble. This process and house buying has been a nightmare to say the least. Especially for two combat veterans that used their VA home loan to buy their first house for a family of five. I would never recommend these builders due to their lack of communication and pride in their work.

UPDATE: we just recently had to remove the trim from our powder room to install a sliding barn door. See pictures of the trim pieces that Vulcan put to support the window and also notice there is no frame for the door either . This is just a tiny example of the most horrible, unethical, shotty, shady work they do. We purchased our home in July 2021. Since then, Vulcan has dissipated and started new companies because of all the lawsuits and poor reputation. Buyer BEWARE if you see any homes for sale by White Oak Home Builders – owner/Josh Petry or Selene Homes – owner/Jennifer Jeffrey .They were the owners of Vulcan. We still are waiting for our one year warranty repairs to be completed and have now had to retain an attorney. The amount of time we have wasted with this has been outrageous. We have been told by multiple resources that this is their MO. They just ignore people hoping they just give up. These people are scammers and need to be held accountable. Cheri Seymour their little minion that just runs in circles and is the most unprofessional unorganized and does nothing but make excuses why they haven’t been here to do the repairs or just blatantly ignores emails. They take zero pride in anything they do, it’s all about the money and greed.

Selene Homes are associated with them. I’ve never dealt with such bad service and people period. Place should be shut down.

Have heard nothing but issues from our neighbors regarding Vulcan/Petry and whatever other aliases this company goes by. We have also had our own problems with them not doing this up to code. If you want a fast build, these companies are perfect for you. But if you want it done properly? Steer clear from these builders.

I would leave negative stars if I could. Do NOT purchase from Vulcan Building or their alias name White Oak Homes. Almost every single person I’ve spoken to has had nothing but terrible experiences. Their workers do not communicate anything, drop the ball on issues constantly, and do really rushed and terrible work. Among a never ending list of issues, my biggest frustration was that they flooded our basement due to poor construction site management (they left our egress window open while it rained for several days without covering the hole allowing the clay filled water to just fill up the basement). In the basement were appliances and plywood/drywall already installed and tried to hide what had happened from us; we’re lucky we saw the mold starting to grow. When we confronted them about the mess, they stated they “do not clean basements” even though everything is STILL covered in clay and they just covered up a bunch of this mess along the walls with insulation WHILE IT WAS STILL WET. What kind of builders are these people? Terrible ones. DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH VULCAN OR WHITE OAK HOMES, YOU WILL REGRET IT!

BEWARE! My new home building experience is a nightmare with Vulcan. From light switches installed on the wrong side of the doors, bedroom door had to be closed to turn lights off and on, floor cut too short in the living room at fireplace, bubbles in floor of shower inserts, 3 water leaks from an upstairs bathroom, holes cut in my new ceiling, light switches that don’t work, garage door would not open or close all the way, front porch poured incorrectly-so many more problems. And communication is horrible. This was from day 1. All of this AND they have a construction manager that can be honest- Run as fast as you can and find another builder. So many upset homeowners in Edgerton Lakeview neighborhoods.
