Working with Joe/Frei Remodeling on our remodel exceeded our expectations! The communication on everything from start to finish was excellent. The quality of work was excellent as well, his contractors were polite, respectful, and on schedule. Overall we appreciated the honesty in every step from initial contact all the way through final inspection. Joe and Frei Remodeling will be the company we recommend and if a project is in our future we will be hiring them again!

Joe and his team did a wonderful job of changing our old dark Roman tube into a bright modern master suite shower. The crews showed up on time and cleaned up when they left. The quote was accurate. Joe was easy to work with and kept us informed of the progress.

I bought this single story house knowing I had to make the master bath handicapped friendly. I researched new home builders and learned that a bathtub in the master bath is not in demand, however, a bathtub should be in an additional bathroom. So I came up with this true walk-in shower design with no shower door by removing the bathtub, decided on the marble tiles that were plentiful in stock and then sought out a very capable contractor. I learned that Frei Remodeling has done exactly this type of job before and I was confident after meeting that we were going to have a great experience bringing the design to life, which is what happened. This master bath remodel has to be done with skill, experience and patience. Joe and his team understood this and had expert experience for all phases of this job. The finer details were always discussed with me before implemented. My big desires were for a long and tall pony wall providing wall space for previously missing his/her towel racks and has room for large hidden his/her shower utilities cut-outs, plus two corner seats for my handicapped showering and drying. Every artisan who was tasked by Joe did absolutely the best work. A great experience doing this job and getting the needed functionality with quality materials and exquisite symmetry.

Joe Frei of Frei Remodeling is an excellent contractor! He is professional, personable, does high quality work, stays on schedule, is great at communicating, and uses a tool to provide visual updates on a daily basis. He also works with quality subcontractors and stays on top of their work. Joe just completed a small bathroom remodel for me that has exceeded my expectations! It was a complete remodel down to the studs replacing absolutely everything. I am waiting to install a mirror and I will repaint but you can see from the photos how beautifully it turned out! I am beyond pleased. I had to move out for two weeks since I only have one bathroom and staying on schedule was essential for me. I stayed with friends and family in the Phoenix area so was not nearby to see the progress but I knew what was happening at all times and saw uploaded photos of the progress every day. He is the best contractor I have ever worked with!

My wife and I are very happy with a major remodel of our master bathroom that was done by Frei Remodeling & Construction. Joe Frei was excellent to work with and we highly recommend him. Everything to do the remodel, from the initial design, choice of materials, and the work itself was done professionally and was of high quality. Our remodel was extensive. It involved the removal of a 1980’s vintage sunken tub, the vanity, a built-in linen closet, air conditioning soffits, cement floor tiles, and an interior wall. This was replaced by a new walk-in shower, vanity, free-standing tub, toilet, a new exterior window on the west wall, and extensive tile work. Joe and his sub-contractors were very respectful, and the work was of high quality and done on schedule. We can especially recommend the tile work. Joe was easy to work with and always kept his cool when issues arose either with his subcontractors or with us changing our mind about something. In situations where I would have “lost it” Joe handled it very professionally and pragmatically: is attitude was just “how do I fix this to make us happy.” Frei Remodeling may be more expensive than other contractors, but in the long run they are worth every penny.

6 months ago, I reached out to Frei Remodeling to help update my parents’ bathroom for safety. This project turned into painting the house, remodeling the other bathrooms and fixing structural issues. Frei Remodeling has been a fantastic business to collaborate with on all projects. I trust Joe, the owner, to ensure the jobs are done correctly and in a reasonable amount of time. He is very responsive and hands on throughout the projects. All of the details are of high finish and the end results are perfection. When speaking with his subcontractors, they talk about the high standards he holds for them all. His subcontractors know the expectations and abide by them. Every person who came through our house was considerate and treated everything respectfully. I never worried about leaving my parents alone to run an errand or two and my dog was always watched and protected when doors were open. I appreciate all of the hard work that has been done to update my home. It is magnificent.

Joe did a terrific job remodeling our 1936 bathroom. We wanted to replace the tub with a shower, which involved a complete tile makeover. Communication was good, as was the quality of work; all workers were professional and courteous. We’re quite pleased with the result!

Joe remodeled our master bathroom last year and the experience was fantastic. He was responsive, receptive to new ideas and changes and was incredibly transparent through the entire process. The remodel was extensive, involving ripping out an old tub and shower, removing the floors and old cabinets, installing a new free-standing tub, expanding the shower, all new tile floors, and new cabinets with granite tops. He was very flexible when we were picking out all the things we wanted, and never hesitated to make suggestions or accept changes during the process to make our vision look even better. I held off writing a review until our 1 year walk through. The workmanship has held up impeccably, and we couldn’t be happier with the product/work we received.
