DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER Elijah of We Care landscaping and lawn services LLC has poor business acumen. He comes across as polite, but is anything but. We first encountered him when he cut our personal lawn when we were out of town. He quoted/charged $100 because he said he had to push mow, yet our neighbors reported that he serviced us while on a riding mower. He lied. But we let it slide. Again- he was “seemingly” polite. We recently severed ties w/ him and we did not have a contract (thankfully). Our HOA Board hired him and after regular contact, we experienced a lack of professionalism and inherent problematic behaviors which surfaced and interfered with the concept of him being a trustworthy and solid professional. He offered apologies more than a few times. Another red flag is that he wasn’t reasonable or knowledgeable about how an HOA (managed by a company) remits payment. He demanded immediate payment after our 1st service and never mentioned it until after he cut. He cut without scheduling with us/cut on his own terms. Later, we’ve told him to call first before cutting (a day prior), he always ignores the directive. He refused to pick up the first check from the management company (too far) and of course, he won’t allow checks to be his “so called” business address listed in Fairburn. If the checks are late (management company’s fault), he throws a fit/sent “warning” says it’s too far/ inconvenient to pick up from our President/subdivision (yet his business location is listed as Fairburn (GA) which is close (another red flag). So, we had implemented a special payment plan for him. The management company was to cut two checks for each upcoming month and send them out in advance of the month (to the HOA President’s home) and each time he cuts , she would distribute one check. When the checks are late, of course he becomes aggressive and child-like with no level of reason or understanding. He had to be reminded that it is not the HOA‘s fault. Furthermore, when he was asked to only cut twice a month for our HOA budget guideline and there were five Thursdays in a month of June (he cuts every other Thursday because that’s what he does), he ended up cutting 3 X(6/1, middle of June and 6/29), which caused us to give him the first July check. This is in our text history- he tries to deny ever cutting thrice in one month. So, he was told to only cut once in July because of this, but he cut twice (which caused the second July cut to use the first check for August). The text thread is there and he implied “it’s confusing “, “You are confused”, yet he’s the problem. He was told (by text and note with checks) after a certain August cut that the check for that service was the 2nd and last check to be distributed and we didn’t need him to cut again this month. He showed up anyway. So, upon seeing him on our premises, he was told again- there are no checks left/plus he was not to cut/and he was told we no longer needed anymore/we terminated him. He hurled an insult and got one in return. They left debris all over the entrance and common area and had the audacity to leave a message for the HOA MANAGEMENT COMPANY that he’d file a lien if payment wasn’t made by Monday. His behavior is of great concern and with my keen discernment, I sent a message to the management company that a police report would be filed if harassment arises or if he and/or his constituents showed up at my home. After sending the correspondence, I noticed the other 1 star review expressed the same sentiments-aggression, disrespect (& he appears misogynistic). He wouldn’t dare behave this way with males as he wouldn’t measure up. Check the other recent review (3 days before mine). That is crazy. So glad I already picked up on his capability to do anything. He was entrusted as a service provider. We paid him and with the way he behaves, you would think the roles were reversed. Elijah simply can’t be trusted, and unlike the business name he uses, he does not give a milligram of a d$&!, let alone “care”.

My experience is less than desirable with this contractor. Though consistent with providing the the bi-weekly service, my lawn was sloppily cared for and began to look unkempt the longer I kept them onboard. Contractor damaged one of my water spouts and consistently left the water catchers (for the spouts) out of place after mowing the lawn, thereby damaging the lawn and causing dirt holes from the gush of water. Bushes and weeds overtook my flower bed after I refused an $800 price gouging quote to cut the bushes and lay down mulch (nothing additional). The downgrade (hill) in my backyard was overtaken by large weeds that became more like plants (I had previously asked that it be serviced for the additional fee that was quoted). Aside from demanding pay and/or sending reminders late in the evening (10-11 pm) as reminders for pay, no follow up or correspondence was ever initiated about the overall service experience no matter how how unkempt the lawn became. Upon informing the owner that his services were no longer needed, advising to take my address off the service schedule because he was released, indicating that he would receive full payment once the contractual period ended, the owner became aggressive and showed up at my home anyway. He was asked to cease services and leave. He was then paid for services that were not rendered, to honor the existing contract. Instead of delving deeper into why his services were no longer needed, owner became aggressive, began sending harassing texts, making threats to file a lien and sue, and demanding immediate funds that were promised to him at the conclusion of the agreement ($110 in less than two weeks time). Overall this is not a contractor that anyone should utilize; I have since found a service provided who takes pride in the work and finds unethical price gouging unacceptable. The lack of professionalism, lack of emotional intelligence and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Avoid at all costs.

Elijah and his team did a great job on a sod installation, mulching and trimming project at my home. He is very professional and it was a pleasure doing business with him. He even took photos and sent them to me to show the progress of the project throughout the day when I had to be away from the house. Highly recommend for landscaping or yard work.

Great job with rock landscaping four areas in my yard. I am very pleased with final result. Young men are very detailed, explained exactly what they were doing before proceeding. Also here every time on time. Highly recommended.
