Joe Ammerman was great while trying to sell me the system called me back etc answered questions all good. Not so much when I attempted to get him to return after installation bc I thought I had excess moisture coming from vents. I expected small amount but this was dripping all over my basement which I had paid lots of money to get dry. He eventually sent his HVAC Guy. He said it was a “lot of moisture” but all he could figure was that it was bc my basement was warm & he proceeded to cut a hole into one of the vents and put in a tiny vent. Needless to say this helped very minimally, if at all. Ammerman’s HVAC person said for additional $125.00 and if I bought the insulation they would send one of the helpers to wrap my vents. I was yelled at and cussed at and insulted by Joe bc he said I didn’t understand elementary school level condensation. Which I do and I expected a little bit of moisture but this was like a small stream coming off of every vent in my basement. I was so disgusted I just let it go. I asked his HVAC Guy if Joe yelled at people all the time and he said that Joe had some personal issues going on at the time. I worked in customer service for most of my life and I know that is no excuse for him to argue, yell, cuss and insult a customer that just paid almost $8,000.00 to have a whole new system installed. I feel like Joe should have told me about the moisture if it was “normal” or told me that the vents would need to be wrapped and included it in his initial bid which he did not. He used my existing vent system and still cost me $8000.00. I have had other professionals look at the moisture over the summer and they agree it is excessive. One suggested that Ammerman sold me a unit that was too big for the size of my house. I don’t know. All I know is that I went with Joe bc his Dad had done work for me in the past and all was great. He has tarnished his Father’s good name in my eyes. You don’t let your personal stuff interfere with business. I waited to write this review bc I wanted to see if the moisture problem was going to decrease, over this summer season it did not. I waited also to see if Joe would call to see if all was well with my system, he has not! I have not heard from him or his people since I handed him the check! This is very poor customer service. I need to have the system checked/cleaned and a new filter installed but quite frankly I have been afraid to call the people who installed it ( Joe Ammerman) for fear that I would be verbally assaulted again. I am a widow and thought I was calling a reputable company but now I am totally disillusioned and don’t know who to call to clean and service my new system. I will not call Joe Ammerman I know that much! nor will I give his name to people as reference. If someone reading this has any suggestions who I should call to clean/ service my system and how I go about our having a new filter installed, I would appreciate this information.

I placed a call for service and DJ came just a few hours later. Great service! Knowledgeable and professional. Ammerman is my go to for all things HVAC, and has been for over thirty years. I highly recommend them.
