Zintex Remodeling Group 2 days agoI had a salesman from Zintex come out to my house back in February this year. Logan Rust was his name. Logan knew all about the product and I listen to his entire pitch even though he broke the Golden Rule of in-home sales. That is to say he told me the price before he built up the value. I have been in sales for over 40 years. I have sold all kinds of products in home. The first thing you always learn in any sales organization is do not tell the prospect the price until you have built up the value. By the time you tell the prospect the price of your product you want them thinking it costs 2 times what it actually does. But that is not what Logan did. The first thing he did was tell me the price. He said we are not supposed to say this first but with the special we have right now a walk-in shower conversion will be $13,000. Is that something you would be willing to pay? Of course, I said no. In part because there had been no value built up in my mind but also because I would never pay that much just to convert my shower to a walk in. That to me is a completely unreasonable amount of money. But the question is why did he break the golden rule? Here’s why, I had some Body Odor. When I got up that day, I had planned on taking a shower but slept in and did not have time before our scheduled appointment. So, I had some stink going on and he let me know it. From the start (after making sure I would not pay the 13K) he asked the same question over and over: Do you use your shower? After a few times I asked him why he asked me that, does it make a difference with the remodel? He ignored that and said “Do you use it? I said again why do you ask, he ignored me again and went on with his sales pitch. Interlacing the question “Do you use your shower and then directly saying “You should use it”. This was the most unprofessional sales pitch I have ever seen or even heard of. I don’t care if I smelt like death warmed over as a professional salesman you NEVER INSULT your prospect! I can’t say how many times he has done something like this but I bet I am not the first. You can bet there are other people out there that he has insulted, demeaned, disrespected and disregarded IN THEIR OWN HOMES. I would also bet they’re too embarrassed about whatever it was he insulted them on to say something but I’m not. So what I had some stink going. Logan Rust is the most unprofessional disrespectful salesman I have ever met. I would never do business with a company that employees the likes of him. As he left he asked what I planned on doing the rest of the day I said play C.O.D. he said “Maybe use your shower”. Now that last comment he said under his breath but I heard him. Update: Well this is interesting. Not only was your salesman unprofessional so are you. Unprofessionalism must be pervasive throughout your company. You actually admonish me? You said I should have left a review ASAP, instead of 5 months later. Well ASAP means: As Soon As Possible and 5 months later was as soon as possible and if you don’t like it that’s just too bad. So it looks like both Logan and yourself need training in professionalism.
